I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lofte’s Bar and Grill, that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with genuine warmth and humble service, which set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The restaurant’s ambiance was simply delightful. It exuded a cozy and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of classic diners. The tasteful decor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating created a space that felt both nostalgic and contemporary. It was a place where you could relax, unwind, and truly enjoy your meal.
Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delightful. The restaurant offered a range of diner-style dishes that would satisfy any comfort food cravings. From juicy burgers and crispy fries to mouthwatering sandwiches and hearty soups, their menu had something for everyone. The chefs clearly put a lot of care into their creations, as each dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with fresh ingredients.
One highlight of this restaurant was the excellent selection of cold beers. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a refreshing drink, their diverse beer menu had something to please every palate. The servers were knowledgeable and always ready to recommend the perfect pairing to complement your meal.
Another impressive feature was the abundance of TVs throughout the restaurant. Sports enthusiasts and fans of live events would find themselves in heaven, as they could catch all the action while enjoying their meal. The multiple screens ensured that every guest had a great view, creating an engaging and lively atmosphere.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of humble service, inviting ambiance, delectable diner-style food, cold beer selection, and ample TV screens made it a standout dining destination. Whether you’re seeking a casual meal with friends, a cozy date night, or a place to watch the big game, this restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

I had the opportunity to eat at Lofte’s in SLC on a Wednesday. The other two restaurants that are in the immediate area by the Airport Hotels are closed on those days, so thanks for being open, Lofte’s. I ordered the Ribeye Steak, it was a simple broil, butter finish and tender, very good. I just had to add a little salt for my taste . It comes with a simple house salad and choice of Pilaf or Red Skinned Potatoes. They let me sub for fries. I probably should have tried one of the other two. The fries were fresh cut, which means they need to be cooked slower or double fried, or they get a burned finish like mine had. Not the end of the world, just my critique. I’ve posted an up to date menu as I some items they list weren’t available ( I wanted the Buffalo Shrimp). Service was very nice.

I truly wish there was a option to give this place a negative 3 stars… decided to give it a try for my valentines date with my fiance… worst choice ever! next year I’d rather brave the typical restaurant scene or even go through the drive through at McDonald’s then ever attempt to eat at this place again… over priced for the quality of food they offer… see attached photos… the only items that we found edible were the mozzarella cheese sticks and the clam chowder…. service was lacking in so many areas… and though we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt all we ended up with was a $80 bill for a romantic night in the bathroom. instead of choosing this establishment to eat may I suggest the nearest recycle bin? totally disappointed and sick to my stomach!

Service was great, they were accomodating, friendly and I waited 20 minutes for take out BUT…my Nachos were….ummm…missing some key elements like my Guacamole, sourcream and cheese. Never seen large charbroiled strips of chicken though. Guess they ran out of cheese…it is Sunday.
The tall guy forgot my first order, Nachos, in the 1st 2 minutes lol.
Got a burger too in case the Nachos were not up to snuff. Glad I did…burger was much better than the Nachos. Maybe they have a new cook? The Nachos looked liked chips
and salsa and he forgot it was Nachos lol.
The bartender never offered a glass of water or any beverage, shame.
I even tipped the tall guy for the delivery of takeout.
To the owner: Nice place…but.

Wow!! What a difference new owners make, we have been here a couple of times in the past, and it was ok, but now it’s really very good, I had the BEST BLT sandwich I have ever had from any bar/restaurant, and they gave my wife what she asked for when she ordered the wings, great cold beer and a great selection also, they have really stepped up.Highly Recommend when in the area !!! Try their veggie potato skins, Awesome

This bar and grill is highly underrated! In the few times I’ve been there the staff has been super friendly, the food great, and a nice mellow atmosphere. Sure it’s a little off the beaten path but that lends itself to the charm of a local bar, also it’s awesome that they have embraced the whole airplane theme. They were great with our puppers, patio is fenced in, not a lot of morning or mid-day shade, only a couple umbrellas, so after 2-3pm is more comfortable on the patio. Bring your own water bowl. The Red Plane drink is super tasty (think white gummy bear) and the presentation is fun. Don’t hesitate to put down your landing gear and fly on in for some casual nibbles and dranks!

3 stars…average dive bar without any dive bar character. At times it felt like a convalescent home dining room. The beer was fine. The French Dip Sandwich was below disappointing…a French Dip not served on a baguette or even hoagie roll!!! Who does that? Lofte’s apparently, because that’s the way they do it.
Lofte’s will work in a pinch, but don’t go out of your way.
**don’t op for the $2.00 for mushrooms, they’re not worth it.
