My wife ate a salad and she said it was good I had white sauce chicken breast mac and cheese and chips and the white sauce it’s real sweet and doesn’t have enough red or black pepper in it. So I gave the white sauce a 2 star and the chicken breast was a 3 star. They have all kinds of baked goods. all kinds of homemade fried pies I tried the fried apple pie it would have been better if it had been warmed up. The restaurants in an old barber shop that looks like an old country store.

Local Joe’s is a local treasure! Delicious food and good service. Tables so you can dine in and I think they’ve even added a small covered deck on the side for outside dining. In addition to barbecue (red and white sauce), they offer potato salad, slaw (vinegar and mayo based), mac and cheese, greens & beans, and several other sides, as well as, nachos, pimento cheese and many dessert items plus chips, jellies, jams, relishes, honey, etc. I’m pretty sure their fried pies are a popular menu item and come in many flavors to choose from. This place is definitely worth stopping in! The smokers are right outside the building and the smell in the morning is amazing and if you stop by in the winter, it feels fantastic to walk by them. You get the warmth and the aroma for a cozy, inviting reason to mosey on in for a good meal. I always get the turkey sandwich and it’s so delicious and incredibly tender every time. Love it! My only advice is to carry cash because they have to tack on a tiny bit because of card processing fees if you use a card, afterall they are a small business and small businesses can’t afford to eat all those fees card processing companies charge. And don’t forget to drop a little something in the tip jar on the counter; these folks do a great job. They also do catering! Their vans are ready to roll to your next important event. And last Fall, they even offered pots of mums; they sat beautifully in the back of and surrounding their bright yellow vintage pickup truck out front. Definitely picture perfect; wish I’d have gotten a photo. Maybe this Fall

Very good. BIG selection. Should be able to find something for everyone. Just what a BBQ place should be. Unique. Had pork sandwich and beans. Both good. Beans more heavy on mustard than you normally get but still very good. I mention only to make the point that they have their touch on everything. Wife loved the “white” sauce on the sausage. Oh yeah, a BBQ place with sausage! Seems too hard to find these days. Will be back to try other choices. Got to grab a colossal baked potatoe some day for supper, yum!! Come in, sit down, enjoy!

We ordered lunch for our office because it was super busy. We weren’t given any BBQ sauce. People didn’t have their food that was ordered and paid for. By the time we opened up this huge order, it was too late so employees were sharing food and were still hungry. BBQ plates were ordered and still no sauce. Someone ordered the baked potato and it was literally a potato without butter or sour cream in a box. The nachos with pork were absolutely disgusting. Their staff was very courteous and helpful… even offering to carry food to the car. Won’t be back to this location. We love the Albertville location though!

First time stopping in here and this is Hands down one of if not the best hidden gem in NE AL. The employees are so helpful and polite. Besides the amazing food they have. They also have local natural honey, strawberries and sweet treats. You really can’t beat what this establishment has. A+ friends keep up the amazing work.

We stopped in for lunch and were absolutely amazed at the welcoming atmosphere!! Everyone was extremely nice!! The food was great! My husband said the BBQ was one of the best he has ever had (and he eats a lot of BBQ…lol). I had the chicken nachos and they were great!! Make sure you save room for a piece of peanut butter pie!! It was delicious!! We can’t wait to go back!!
