This is a bright and friendly coffee shop. We ordered coffee and matcha, avocado toast and a breakfast croissant. Both our drinks were good and hot but not too hot. The food was great and didn’t take too long to prepare. We visited on a Saturday so it was busy and there were small and large groups gathered. There are several areas for seating so you can find a place for you, whether you want to be alone or with others.

It’s a nice place. Someone put a lot of effort into the business. That said, when you hire a bunch of people who probably never drink lattes, they probably won’t be making the best lattes for your customers. I’ve had better drip coffee from gas stations than the latte I got from here. Not very good and expensive all at the same time. I poured it down the drain.

Employees were super nice. Expensive. Food quality needs adjustment, felt on par with school food. 6 dollars for a cinnamon bun better be Cinnabon quality. Donuts were ok. Overall expensive and medium quality food.

Absolutely delicious with a constant menu & a stream of new options. Staff was welcoming, noise levels were appropriate for anyone to be able to have a conversation, atmosphere is calming. I will definitely enjoy extended breaks to accomplish work on a laptop while traveling here.

Food was great, coffee was good too. Unfortunately it took the 2 staff members almost 45 minutes to make the one iced coffee and package the 2 pastries. Keeping in mind it was a beautiful Saturday morning and a lot of people were out. The patrons came in a steady stream, no big rush at one time. Several people asked for refunds due to the wait. 3 staff would have made all the difference. A great recommendation comes when all the major areas of a business are covered. LOCAL GROUNDZ has ambience and product, now they just need service. I’m betting it will be better on my next stop there.

Except for the manager the afternoon staff that I have consistently have interacted with most times have made errors in the order, not placed all items in the to-go package and are unwilling to add a customer’s (mine) number to the order once it has been inadvertently forgotten. If the the manager is on premises she is always attentive and verifying that orders are correct. The manager has also made it abundantly clear (and reteaches) o counter personnel that it is easy to add a customer’s ph. # despite having placed an order. Alas, when the cat is away staff could care less saying either “yea, its too late or oh yea forgot that:) Today was another example and the last time I walk across the street to buy lunch or ever go to either establishment. Poor training? Emotionally vapid staff? Perhaps but not worth my energy or time. The manager works to hard. She is good people.

First time in and I’ll definitely be making Local Groundz a regular stopping point. Great coffee, donut, and atmosphere! Excellent prices so I even bought some of their cold brew to take home with me.

Awesome spot! Walked there on the thread from my house with my friend as well as my two boys in the double stroller. They had a ramp so I didn’t have to maneuver the stroller upstairs. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Coffee was great. My toddler had a smoothie and a donut which he thoroughly enjoyed. I love how open and bright the place is. Its not dark and cramped like other coffee shops tend to be. It was hot out so we didn’t sit on the patio but it looked very nice. So happy this is in Lagrange and accessible from the Thread!!
