Local 388 has THE BEST burgers in the Capital Region. The source local ingredients, their beef is grass-fed, and the waiter Dillon is wonderful. We go to Local 388 as often as we can, and we’re never disappointed. My favorite burger…the BSPA. Yum!

You simply cannot find a better burger. The house ketchup is excellent. I’ve never had bad service, and I go there 3-4 times a month. If you are nearby, give it a try. If you’re not nearby, drive there and give it a try anyway… you lazy bastard.

Locally sourced ingredients make for very good food at the Local 388. The American is a classic burger with a tasty fresh bun. Simply good. Great fries and shakes as well. Craft beer options available. Small parking lot plus on street parking.

I got the Red, Hot, & Blue burger and my son got the BSpa burger and both were very good. They were cooked to temp and we’re a good size. You COULD opt for a second pattie, but I think that would be a bit over the top. The BBQ sauce, chipotle ketchup, and the onions complemented the grass fed beef very well.
The fries were really good, too. Next time, I would get the small size salt and pepper version instead of the large cheddar and scallion, just because they are better finger food. We also tried the homemade chips which were good enough that I may choose that as my side on my next visit, and there will be a next visit.
The only issue I had was that there was no eating utensils offered. It’s not a big deal and I probably could have gotten some, if I had asked. I just like to see if things happen naturally, though.
It’s nice to have another dining option in the village. Especially one with good food ethics. Nicely done, Local 338 Burger Bar.

Best Burger in the whole area. Obviously freshly ground meat and hand formed. Not like all the others that say they’re angus burgers and probably frozen and sold by a distributor. Unique and flavorful hamburgers.

People seemed really excited about this place and so was I but it was not a great experience. Perhaps we were there on an off day. There was only one person working all the tables, our water cups weren’t clean and out burgers were cold. I’ve heard nothing but good things from people though, so perhaps it was just an off day.

Sad to say but this great location has closed… Local 388 has the best burgers in the area! The food is great and service is fast and friendly. This place is a hidden gem in Ballston Spa.
