Great bar with lots of seating, attentive friendly service and great wings. We had a few appetizers but the wings were the best. Crispy (perfect crisp) and tender on the inside. For me a perfect wing. Nachos were okay, large portion but the cheese was a little underwhelming. Sliders were okay but the bun was too large for the burger size and it was not toasted so it ate a little dry. Great tap beer selection. Highly recommend for the wings.

Definitely an underrated bar in southie. Love coming here for some good food and drinks that are priced well. They have great specials throughout the week. Workers are super nice and I’ve only experienced great service so far. Outdoor space is nice during the summer which is a huge plus especially being so near the beach!

Moved my daughter into the neighborhood and enjoyed a perfect pint with a tasty burger and fries outside. I don’t blame the server for lightly laughing at me when I wanted to make sure the Guinness was on draught. I felt at home with my red hair and freckles.

Liked the food but the service ruined the experience. Our waiter,I think his name was Stephen was more interested in socializing with other staff and we were left waiting for long periods for drinks etc even though the place was very quiet. I ordered coffee and had to ask several times why it was taking so long and when it did eventually come it was without cream sugar or spoon. It took two more trips and a ridiculous amount of time to get those by which time the coffee was cold. It’s such a shame because I like the food and the place and it’s so close to my house.

Stopped by here while attending a conference at the convention center. This location is a short Uber ride away from the primary convention center hotels, but well worth the travel. We stopped in on Valentine’s Day and weren’t sure how busy it would be, but apparently we arrived early enough to be at the crowds. The atmosphere was upscale corner bar. It was not pretentious at all, and not so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. The food was good, as was the service.

Generous portion sizes of the Buffalo Wings which were so delicious! Miso Glazed Cod was definitely extremely flavorful, and the flavors are what you would expect at an American restaurant. Short Ribs were melt-in-your-mouth and extremely delicious; the brussel sprouts that came with were also quite tasty. Service was a bit more casual and felt not very professional at times but not too big of a deal

The food is phenomenal especially the big steak with the skewer of shrimp. I would like an option to replace the baked potato because I like something different but apparently that’s not an option. The service on the other was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Get your service ready and maybe we will become loyal customers.

I’ve lived in southie for the last 5 years and local 149 is definitely my go to for brunch. The breakfast tacos and fried Mac and cheese ball will literally cure any hangover. Not even kidding! Also the manager who is this very tall ginger is so hilarious and makes you feel right at home. This place has literally become the extension of my living room.

Great food. Great space. Went for brunch. Was quiet as it was Christmas Eve. Sat by the fire. Started off with a Manhattan. The bartender sure knows how to make a good one. The Mac & Cheese fritters were an excellent appetizer. Had the Brunch Burger, which was very good and not tiny by any means. The home fries were nicely spiced and there was plenty. You definitely get your money’s worth. First time there and would definitely go back.
