Quite a decent bistro with mainly seafood dishes. Reasonable price during weekday night for 2 course or 3 course meal, even though their famous lobster roll would need an extra pay. Food is okay, drink selection could be a bit more.

5 star experience for dinner. Firstly, we arrived an hour after Early Bird menu times but were still offered it. That was an unexpected cost saver. The food is on the pricier side, but I’d say you get what you pay for. Service was phenomenal. The chips were more like wedges/crispy baked potato, but still very tasty. My burger was a little pink, which I didn’t mind, but just in case you don’t want that, be sure to let your server know. Lovely little restaurant that doesn’t have cramped seating

Edit: second visit just over a month later and the same standard of good service and food was upheld! This place deserves it’s high rating. This time my wife went for lobster which was delicious and I went for a burger again and it was even better than the first time. Staff are so friendly and helpful with the menu. Will be back in the future

Highly priced awful food! The prawn pil pil was €18 for a few frozen prawns in semi warm oil. The wagyu beef burger tasted like old sausage meat and it had about 3 tbsp of mustard on it. The photos clearly show the poor state! I didn’t eat half the burger and chips so I asked to take them home for the dog considering I paid for it. The server misunderstood and threw it in the bin. I didn’t want to make a deal of it when paying so I just left it. We won’t be back nor will we recommend it to anyone.

Delicious buttery lobster and prawns and great service. Getting back home without sleeping was a struggle. Have been here multiple times and will mostly likely be back.

As regulars we love coming to Lobstar! As we are moving abroad soon we spent our last dinner out at Lobstar last night and everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s one of those places with the warmest service and delightful dishes from the menu. You can order anything from the menu knowing it’ll be a pure pleasure. Personal favourites are the Tuna Poke, Curry and Lobster Roll with Parmesan Truffle Fries. We will sure miss this place. Thank you team Lobstar!

Where to begin? Ok, simply put, probably the best meal my wife and I have ever had.

The place is small and compact but not uncomfortable. The staff are attentive and professional but the real gem is the food. It’s a fish restaurant of the best order and absolutely brilliant. (it’s OK, they do have a beef steak I think but if you end up there, you have gone because you like fish)

I won’t discuss what we ate because it will leave you salivating and desperate to jump in your car to experience what my wife and I have just experienced but seriously, it’s that good. They even know how to fillet a Dover Sole (Black Sole) and it was poetry in motion to watch.

I assure you, that I do not exaggerate the sense my wife and I are feeling that what we experienced this evening is a culinary delight and the quicker you make your reservation, the quicker you might share the same satisfied feeling of a meal enjoyed and an experience to share.

It’s not cheap though. We spent just a tad over 200 euros for two people but that included a very nice bottle of Marlborough New Zealand white washed down with a ten year old port and decaf coffee.

Seriously, my taste buds are still excited from the whole delectable experience and you will not be disappointed.

Lastly, sorry for the photo of oyster shells. I enjoyed them before Samsung could capture the image but make sure you pre-order them because they are that fresh. Can I say anything more? No not really because what I have said is an accurate recollection of our experience.

Will we return. Definitely but its a bit tricky since we live in Hertfordshire but its very tempting to just fly from Luton for a one night stay and to present ourselves for another master class of cuisine at its best.

We came here on Friday night for dinner. We booked in advance which I would suggest doing so that you don’t miss out.

The restaurant is very cosy but you do not feel cramped at all.
They have a lovely warm atmosphere and the staff really help with this. They are very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived we were told about a few specials and both ordered one of them so make sure you have a listen as it is very worth while!

The food was delicious! Everything was spot on and we loved everything!

This is a great restaurant for a catch up with a good friend or for a date night meal. Very enjoyable.

I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent dining experience worth every penny! We had an early bird 3 course meal (lobster roll, poke tuna, chocolate mousse) + their grilled lobster. Grilled lobster is a little on the tougher side to chew but tasted great! Poke tuna a little salty (wished we had rice ) but loved the flavor and how fresh the tuna was! Lobster roll (5/5) will always be our favorite and a reason to come back.

Appreciate how attentive the service was – waitress changing the utensils and wiping down the table after every course, letting us use their wifi when we realise our phone service wasn’t working in that part of town and always coming back to top up our water or asked if we needed anything else. My husband & I will definitely be back!

Lobster is such a hidden gem. The New York Lobster Roll is just fantastic. Delicious in every way. A bit pricey, however, for what it is. The scallops were delicious, but again a very small portion. The staff were lovely, especially our favourite Croatian, Marco. Service with a big smile. Always appreciated.
