Lo & Behold was buzzing, so our party of five plus a baby was ushered onto the patio—cold, yes, but made comfortable by glowing gas heaters and a sense that the night would be worth it. The restaurant’s layered, globally minded personality comes through immediately: casual but considered, social without strain.
The real warmth came from our server, gregarious and deeply fluent in the menu, guiding us with confidence and ease—easily the highlight of the evening. The cucumber salad set the tone, its dressing lively and nuanced, the kind of dish that disappears faster than expected. Pollo a la brasa arrived boldly seasoned and generously fatty—pleasurable, though edging toward excess. The Vietnamese steak, ordered as a starter, felt appropriately portioned and well-prepared, though the seasoning leaned overeager. The kimchi pasta stood out most: savory, funky, and satisfying, a dish that fully delivered on Lo & Behold’s promise of cross-cultural comfort.

Just off the square in downtown Healdsburg, Lo & Behold is a fun Asian fusion cocktail bar and kitchen that doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Come for a drink at the bar, sit in their front lounge, dine on their back covered, heated patio with a large group of friends, L&B has it all. With their Vietnamese, comfort food flare, we opted to sit inside and try some of the fan favorites. The ahi tuna tostada had big chunks of tuna with a salsa matcha butter that makes this dish delectable. The Korean babyback riblits were a game changer – tons of flavor on top of an Asian pear salad. It was the combo you didn’t know you needed. For mains, we went with the housemade kimchi noodles and the almost famous chicken tendies (with a name like that, how could you not?). The noodles were the perfect balance of chewy, crunchy and vinegary. You don’t need to add a protein, but the dish holds it weight without it. The chicken tenders were essentially buttermilk fried chicken in three large pieces. The only issue we had with this was they were TOO over battered (more breading/batter than meat), and the batter didn’t actually adhere to the meat. Good flavor but could have been a touch better. Overall, we had a great meal and look forward to coming back.

I had lunch here with a friend today and it was amazing! We shared two different plates.
The burger was done perfectly, and it was absolutely delicious. French fries came with it and they were perfectly done and crispy. We also ordered the Crudo, which was out of this world! My suggestion is if you’re going to order it make sure you order two because you won’t want to share yours. It’s that good.!
Our waiter was Brian and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested the Crudo.
We also ordered iced tea that had a delicious floral taste to do it. Our glass was never empty as Brian was really on top of his game!
Oh, and I can’t forget to tell you about the pickles. They were housemaid and also really tasty.

Wow. Killer cocktails. Small portions with great taste. Great environment. Cool patio. Server was killer. Definitely some boojie clientele with designer dogs. As a German I felt extra safe knowing I was the brownest person in the restaurant that wasn’t running food from the kitchen.

The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered was full of flavor. Melissa, our server, was phenomenal, attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The outdoor area was a little cold, but the staff was incredibly attentive and moved us to a warmer spot right away. Great service and great food, we’ll definitely be back!

Great food, amazing cocktails, and wonderful staff – what more can you ask for? This LGBTQ+ owned business is our favorite place to visit in Healdsburg. The daily specials they have had recently have been incredible and you can never go wrong with the “almost famous” chicken tenders! For cocktails I can recommend the LOVE BIZARRE, and the BIRDS & THE BEEZ!

Lo&Behold is a beautifully curated gem in Healdsburg, with a globally inspired menu and standout cocktails. The space is full of charm—whether you’re soaking in the sun on the lush back patio or enjoying the cozy indoor vibe. Highlights for me were the crispy egg rolls, flavorful deviled eggs, and the refreshing tomato salad, all leading up to the bold and delicious kimchi noodles. I’m especially grateful to Laura, one of the owners, who made me a refreshing sangria that hit the spot. This is the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner before exploring the town. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was delicious. Got the pea shoot salad and brisket tacos – brisket smoked in house and meal prepared in beef tallow (rendered from the brisket!), no seed oils.
The place is fully prepared for accommodating food allergies, but the first time my tacos came out they had flour tortillas & I specifically stated my gluten and dairy allergies. The waiter apologized and provided me a fully new dish (because I can’t have cross contamination), but just a watch out.
The cocktail that I got was alright. It didn’t feel like the flavors totally paired, but I think other people at the table enjoyed their cocktails.
