LN1380 PART 1: My Dinner with Big Portions of Fantastic Chinese …
Reviews
One thing I did not like is the seats are fixed sofa style (half circle). They look fancy but really uncomfortable. They are too soft and people site inside are difficult to get out … This setting is quite unusual in Chinese restaurants!
The staffs service was ok.
Both times I came it was during the holidays but got seated right away which was surprising because it looked really busy. The servers were great and the dishes were delicious. We ordered Salt and pepper squid, Fried tofu with shrimp paste, Honey walnut shrimp, Braised beef stew and Lemongrass porkchops. Everything was great but the lemongrass porkchops especially stood out to me. It makes my mouth salivate thinking about it. The wok hei and the lemongrass flavor of the pork chops, with the punch of saltiness, pair amazingly with white rice. Every bite kept getting better and better. If it wasnt for the family style, I would eat the entire plate of it. As someone who usually gets Salt and pepper pork chops, it was refreshing to have a new pork chop dish to add to the top favorites list. Please give it a try!
Definitely plan on coming back to check out their dimsum. Overall I really recommend this restaurant for a family style Cantonese meal.
12 lbs king crab cooked Ménage Trois. First style was steamed, 2nd was wok fried, & 3rd was steamed egg with the crabs head.
Salmon & conch was fresh as can be. Prices are reasonable for majority of the menu items. The higher end offerings are a bit pricey.
King crab is phenomenal but may put a dent in your wallet at $68 per lb for 12 lbs.
UPDATE:
1) BYOB $10 cork fee
2) limited wines. Beer is Tsing Tao & Heineken
3) average service
Now I’ve also come here for dinner. It’s a classic Cantonese Style seafood restaurant. The chefs here do a pretty good job with the dishes because I can’t remember ever not liking a dish here. They have multiple private rooms with a TV and karaoke inside for rent also. I’ve rented out the rooms for 25 people (2 large tables and small table in between). All they ask is that you spend $1000 on food for the rooms. Their fresh steamed fish are delicious and the garlic chicken is really good. The service here is good especially for a Chinese restaurant because Chinese restaurants are known for poor service.
I’d recommend the fried rice, shadie beef and steamed fish.
