One of the best L&L I have tried. Great portion, everything is tasty and nice vibe. I really like the outside sitting with the little light string hanging the photo cannot show how warm and fresh the beef short rib, and teriyaki chicken tastes, and they give you a lot of katsu chicken too. Eat too much again yummy.

Great little place for a quick bite. Not much seating, but a huge variety of foods. From Kailua pork and musubi to burgers and fries. Lots of bowls and noodles as well. Something for everyone. If in the Waimanolo area, definitely worth a stop

This place was very cool. Kind of a hole in the wall place, but the flavors were amazing. The service was great. Huge servings, so plenty of left overs to go. It may not look like much when you pull into the lot, but don’t let that fool you. Definitely worth eating at.

5 Stars – Delicious Local Comfort Food & A Hidden Gem That Was Worth the Turnaround!

After a long day at the beach, my family was starving and we were lucky to find L&L Hawaiian Barbecue just 10 minutes away. At first, it looked like it might be closed—but then I spotted the OPEN sign glowing, so I turned the car around—and I’m so glad I did!

The food was excellent, full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough to save some for later. We ordered the Seafood Combo and the Rib Combo (I think that’s what it was called), and both were spot-on. Total comfort food after a day in the sun!

The cashier/waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure we were well taken care of with that warm aloha spirit. It really made the experience even better.

They also serve Loco Moco and breakfast all day, which we’ll definitely be back to try next time.

If you’re in the area and craving some tasty, filling local-style eats, don’t pass this place up—it might just be the highlight of your meal plans!

If you’re looking for value, look no further. This place doesn’t do “portions” it dispenses survival rations. It’s genuinely cheap, which is shocking considering the sheer volume of delicious food they put on one plate.

I had the BBQ Chicken, and my husband had the Pulled Pork. And, as expected (and scientifically proven), my chicken was unequivocally better. The pulled pork was fine, but the BBQ Chicken is the true champion here.

We managed to consume approximately half of the contents before entering a comfortable, delicious food coma. We then packed the remaining mountain of rice and meat to take home, meaning this single meal effectively fed us for a full 24 hours. Five stars for the value, the flavor, and the clear winner in the spousal dish-ordering competition.

Not good and the lady at the counter is very rude. We came in with a party of 9 and she acted like we were an inconvenience. The bbq chicken was teriyaki flavored and chewy. The macaroni salad was not good. The chicken sandwich was gross. All around 1 star for the food 0 stars for the older Asian lady behind the counter.

First visit here. You don’t see too many L&L’s on the mainland, had to make the stop. Friendly staff and limited space. Not use to paying for refills (all good). The food? Good food by good people. Five stars here. Definitely recommend.

Great food as always, service is eh. Facility looks run down and one table was dirty when we got there. I asked to borrow the rag to wipe the table down, I wish she had made an effort to use the rag herself instead of handing it to me but she is young so maybe she doesn’t know better. You know how clean a facility is by the bathroom and it is really clean for such a small spot that gets a lot of traffic in and out. ZMost that matters is food is good and served HOT! Limited seating inside but a covered area outside has plenty of seating. I had chicken katsu with Mac salad and a scoop of rice. The mini was plenty of food for 1-1&1/2 people. The sauce that comes with the Katsu chicken is a great combo with the chicken, sort of a honey taste but very faint spice to it. The mini fried shrimp includes 4 shrimp a scoop of rice and Mac salad with a small scoop of chopped raw cabbage.

Pleasantly surprised by the food!!! They have huge portions. It’s actually a decent price and value for your money. It’s extremely basic and no frills inside the restaurant. I would eat here again.
