I come here at least once a week and usually order the same thing. The food is generally great, but my one issue is with the eggs. No matter how clearly I order them, they always come out brown and overcooked. I end up tossing most of the whites and only eating the yolk. I went to culinary school, so I know proper egg technique — and this isn’t it. As a cook, I’m not sure why something below standard would be served. Please fix this. I spend around $30 per plate and tip well even though I know the eggs will be burnt every time. Front of house staff is excellent — they’re always friendly and helpful.

Definitely worth the price. This is the first location I visited in San Jose. The food was plenty for me what we paid for it. Everything was delicious. As you can see by the pictures, they really stacked up the food. It was so good. Definitely go there.

I ordered BBQ Beef short ribs and they were tough and overly salty. The BBQ chicken my husband got was dry and over cooked. The broccoli side dish was practically raw and uncooked. They even forgot my macaroni salad side dish altogether. This is so far below what my expectations are for a L&L Hawaiian BBQ!

I purchased a Beef Bowl and it was horrible. I could not chew the beef at all and the vegetables were pretty much uncooked. I don’t see how this dish sells at all. Plus the wait to get the food was very long for such a simple meal.

The food is great, but don’t come here late in the evening. Posted closing is 8:30 on Saturday. At 7:30 they have all the chairs on the tables and tell you they are closing soon. When you ask about the 8:30 closing, they tell you that they have to be out by 8:30. Seems like poor planning. Hate being rushed out when trying to eat.

The musubi trio is spam, chicken katsu, and BBQ chicken. If you’re a fan of all three, it saves you $.40. Otherwise, just get the musubi you want instead.

I will say this jawn slaps. It’s no very shareable, the musubi, as cutting in destroys the structural integrity of the wrap, but yeah go for this one mate. The BBQ sauce is good. Definitely something you can be without but it does add a layer.

Great service here as well. Would go again.

Flavor is godd as are the selections but the meat quality is below my standards. The short vibes were too fatty and the chicken also plus grisly.

Busy spot on a Tuesday afternoon, but with outdoor covered seating to escape the blaring sun.

It’s a little pricier than their Daly City and Milbrae, but everything is pricier nowadays.

Great food cooked to near perfection – Chicken Katsu and BBQ Shortribs were great! Will definitely return!

Not fancy, but good value. One of the regular plates can be split between two people. Hard to believe that this is all for one person.

I ordered one katsu curry plate and three spam musubi but instead received one katsu chicken curry and one katsu chicken. I didn’t receive any of the spam musubi. The curry plate has so little curry it’s almost nothing.
