Food has went down hill egg roll taste like they have added horseradish and hot and sour soup watered down. Came back second time soup improved but they have added big chucks of celery and the eggs rolls still have an off taste. They use to use peanut sauce or something like and I swear they taste like window cleaner or horseradish. I wish they would either stick to the old recipe or change the name. Bc this is not the Hong Kong we was raised on and the sweet tea tasted like it has toothpaste in it

The food is delicious and the service is fantastic! I’ve been there only twice, but each time did not disappoint. Nice size portions for each entree.

For the first time in my life, just a few days ago I stopped and ate at the Hong Kong Restaurant in Marion, Indiana… ✔️ And man oh man, was I ever blown away… I got to meet and speak with the owner and chef herself, whom is an authentic Chinese cook that opened the restaurant in May of 1986, the year of The Tiger… The Sweet-and-Sour Soup was spicy, blod, and powerfully flavored with tremendously fresh and tasty ingredients… And my main meal (Kung Po Beef *hot*) was delightfully and uniquely different from other Chinese Restaurant experiences, as because it was well prepared with great ingredients by an authentic experienced Chinese cook…❤️

The worst Chinese food I ever had in my entire life I can’t believe they actually have a 4.3 rating. I would rate this place at 0…the sesame chicken was sour and sour chicken with sesame seeds sprinkled over the top, the rice was gray with no taste, no vegetables just bean sprouts barely, the fried chicken wasn’t even fried chicken there was no batter on top. I will never return. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The food was horrible. Egg drop soup tasted scorched. The chicken breading was not done and the rice wasn’t done. They were not busy, the other table had 5 people. The place did not smell pleasant, some kind of bad odor. I will not be going back. It used to be delicious food.

I do not know what restaurant was being reviewed but this place the food is AWFUL! No authentic Chinese taste at all! Everything looks like it came out of bag or a can and it taste like that too. You are better off going to your local store and buying a bag of stir fry for Alot less. The white sauce looked like snot from your nose and had no taste! I ordered General Tso Chicken and it taste like fried chicken balls with red sweet syrup sauce. The fried rice did not look or taste fresh! And the family is from Thailand not China…..big difference. The decor of the restaurant looked like it was from the 1960’s! I will never ever ever ever ever go back to that restaurant. My advice to you save your hard earned money! When I got there I was hungry when I saw my food I instantly lost my appetite and my $17! My carryout food was not even good enough for a bag ….they put it in a recycled box. I should have knew better when I saw that!

I have ate here a few times. The food was delicious. I especially liked the hongkong fried rice, egg rolls and egg drop soup. The service was great. When I needed to take away, the waitress was very considerate and brought me boxes and bags. She even kindly helped me pack the food into the boxes and bags.

Great food and service. Nice family restaurant. Not the nicest atmosphere..:but the pleasant service and quality of food make it a non issue. Outstanding price point for the quality. Will definitely be back.

We have always enjoyed Hong Kong’s food sadly we arrived back from Florida and it has changed. Egg Rolls were doughy tasting been there twice since being home the Hot and sour soup doesn’t even resemble what it used to be so sad.
