L&L is a classic taste of Hawaii. You can’t go wrong with anything here. We were stationed in Hawaii for 4 years, and this is a great taste of our island home.
Food is slightly pricy, but cheaper than a plane ticket.
This location is new, bright, clean. Fast, friendly service.
If you haven’t tried plate lunch, get the combo plate.
Our standards are chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken or Kalua pork. Order an extra scoop of mac salad.

Will never go to this location again. Got order to go and only live 5-7 minute drive from location, right down Powers. When I got home: chicken katsui (both orders) ice cold and some of the pieces you could not see any chicken (all coating); long hair found in the Mac; and fries and rice both also ice cold. I saw an individual cooking in the back, so how do we end up w/ice cold food. Even in my military service, at the chow hall, neverwas I served ice cold food (chicken/fires) that are supposed to be hot.

Had the BBQ mix combo and substituted one of the rice sides with a salad and also got a Hawaiian Sun soda. The combo was excellent and the sides were delicious paired with the barbequed meats. The soda was also quite nice and I’d recommend trying it out!

Don’t Eat here: my family of four arrived at 8:45 PM the first question that we asked was “Will we have time to eat?” The gal that was working, said “ That depends, our kitchen closes at nine”. To us this answer insinuates that if we order quickly before the kitchen. closes we would be fine. So my family and I ordered, filled our drinks and sat down at the table. At 8:55 PM our food arrived and we began to eat. Promptly at 9 o’clock the same gal came to our table and said “we’re closed”. My reply was “ Do you expect That we pack up our food mid-bite and leave ? Her answer was “That’s why I put your food in a To- go bag”. So any potential patron that believes they are due respect for being just that a patron and using their hard earned money, I would highly suggest staying away from this place. Shame on you the business, the staff, and the owner for not being able to articulate your company policies for clearly not caring that you have paying customers eating in your facility when you want to go home. If you want for your business to be closed at nine, so you can all go home at 9:05 maybe you should consider closing your doors at 8:30. We have all been in the situation where a kitchen is closed yet we are still eating in the dining area. It is not only disrespectful. It’s not common practice to ask customers to leave. As for the quality of the food, it’s garbage. Your product is advertised as Kahlúa pork with cabbage you can see from my photograph. There was no cabbage. And more importantly, you do not advertise your product as swimming in a cesspool of disgusting water. As you can see from my photographs, your cesspool clearly infiltrated my meal. Shame on you. #DoBetter

We shared the bbq sampler and potstickers. The sampler had beef, pork and chicken along with white rice, macaroni salad and raw cabbage. All the food was tasty. Potstickers were very fresh and hot!Atmosphere reminds me of fish and chicken places back home. I’d eat here again.

In just called to place an order & the girl who answered the phone could NOT provide me as to how many pieces (chicken uncut) are in their catering platter. Prior to, I asked how many pieces (as she explained is a SIDE order) of chicken katsu are in a to-go plate. Mind you, she was the one who suggested an option other than the catering platter, she said 4-5 pieces. I asked for 2 to-go plates filled with chicken katsu only which she says will have 4-5 chicken pieces (uncut), came out to $82 – the smallest catering platter she says is $92…. Again I asked, so how many pieces are in a small catering platter, “we don’t know how many pieces are in it, we just fill it up”. How can you inform a customer that you don’t know how many pieces are in a party catering platter???????

Ordered a to-go bbq chicken plate. This place is going down the drain compare to when they first opened up. Will not be returning. The chicken was burnt. They need to fire the cook who worked on April 27, 2025. Otherwise, you’ll be losing customers. This was a a waste of money.

I’ve been here many times but only now do I have the time to write a review. EXCELLENT food and customer service. Today I wanted to try this sugary donut confection they had on the wall. I went to order but it comes in a 10ct and I said obviously no thank you because I didn’t think I could eat 10. As we’re almost finishing our meal the manager on duty kindly brings these over for us to sample. This is top tier customer service and community ❤️ thank you always for a great experience
