Out of all of them I think the Aurora one is the closest to being like the ones in Hawaii, but none of them are really the same.

L&L is one of our favorite places to eat. We’ve eaten at other L & L locations frequently and have never had an experience that isn’t . Full of Aloha. Service is warm, loving and kind.

Our experience tonight, on just their second day of operation, was no exception. Great food! Awesome service! Food was fresh and tasty! I was a bit hesitant as we had to grab our order To-Go (I rarely do takeout anywhere) and it was still so tasty!!

Portion sizes and pricing spot on! Large menu with multiple options to accommodate the pickiest of eaters. Welcome to Boulder, L & L We are stoked to have L & L as our new neighbor in Boulder! 100/10 will eat again, frequently…going to need to step up my workout routines to support my plate lunch habit!

I gave this place 5 stars when it opened 2 years ago, this chain was my go-to plate lunch spot when I lived in Kailua.
The quality has plummeted in the last year, crunchy white rice last week, raw chicken today, unfortunately, im out.

And, the tables are too small to fit your legs under.

I sure hope they improve.

Stopped in to grab a chicken katsu sando to go. I was surprised by the very friendly service from the gentleman at the counter, as well as the hot, fresh, and tasty sandwich I got after only 5 mins of waiting. This location is far better than some of the others I have been to in the past few years. If I could eat this kind of food more often, I’d be a more frequent customer. lol!

Delish! Reminds me of getting Hawaiian in Hawaii or California. The meat is well seasoned. They serve generous portions.

This store has about 3 smaller tables and 2 2 bigger tables. The wait for the food was pretty short!

We’ve had many L&L in CO and Hawaii. We are impressed with the amount we got with Kalua pork from this place. Also, we ordered short ribs, but got bbq beef. Now it’s our fault cause we should’ve caught it when the order showed up on the screen. So, we decided to take bbq beef. Asked no rice and replaced with Mac salad, which was a $2 addition that we didn’t know. That’s ok, small fee. But when we got home and saw the bbq beef, it looked like it had an awfully small amount of meat (2 thin cut beef, one was even smaller than the other). Two same orders didn’t look the same either. Not sure if that’s the standard amount since I don’t see other pictures with bbq beef, but quite sad looking. That’s why I left 3 stars. The flavor was good, the staff was kind. If I get a reply it says that’s the standard bbq beef amount, I’m happy to change the review.

Pretty good Hawaiian plate lunch options with generous portions, but overall, we found it a bit bland. The Katsu chicken needed more pizazz, and the curry sauce my husband ordered with his was not anything I would call curry—more like a mild yellow gravy. Once I doused my chicken and rice with soy sauce, they were better. Macaroni salad was good; garden salad pretty lame, with iceberg lettuce and a mushy tomato slice but the cucumber slices were crisp. I might try L&L again—maybe the shrimp next time—but overall, the food was too tepid for my taste. I would also encourage the franchise owner to think about more sustainable options for utensils (we were given a very flimsy plastic fork and knife) and to provide, for dine-in-customers, bottles of soy sauce and sriracha instead of plastic packets.
