Awesome place YOU HAVE TO TRY! We stopped in just passing through and we were so glad we did. The food was home cooked (you could tell) and the wait staff and workers were kind and friendly. Definitely try this place if you are looking for some good homemade southern style food. Special thanks to Aniyah who waited on us. Thank you Aniyah!

We were quickly greeted and staff was nice. I ordered the small plate breakfast with chicken sausage and biscuits and apples with a side of sausage gravy. I assumed sausage gravy had seasoning but I was wrong. It’s white gravy that has the pepper. The chicken sausage patty was overcooked, hard on the outside and needing to be cut with a knife & chewed up. The spiced apples tasted good but had skins on, so just realized that when ordering.

Quite an extensive menu of home cooked southern food at reasonable prices. Our fried chicken had a wonderful flavor and big crunch. But it was a little bit greasier than we like. The chicken fried steak was covered with a peppery white gravy. Brown gravy available. The Mac & cheese was baked. The collards had smokey flavor and slightly sweet. The squash casserole had Ritz cracker as the base. Service was quick and attentive.

The manager was very friendly and taught a Kansas boy all about Southern food. He let me try collard greens for the first time. Whike I sat at the counter and ate ny dinner he kept me company. I can’t brag this location up any more than I am. Thank you .

Nothing wow about the place. It was not very busy. Food was good but basic. Nothing wowed me about the experience. My waitress was prompt but not very engaging. Wouldn’t be my first choice

Basic meat and three kind of place. Lots of choices. They have both fried okra and okra stewed with tomato. This is a no frills place, but the service is friendly and fast. There is a reason they have been in business 40+ years. Also they have pie.

Food was bland, not seasoned at all. Tasted straight out the can. Zero freshness or southern touch from the past. Server was helpful and nice. The BlackBerry Cobbler was the best part of meal.

Honestly, it was just mediocre. Food was largely under-seasoned, none of it was hot. We were stressed waiting for pet results at the nearby ER clinic and just wanted a hot meal quickly. Service was good but the food prep seems to have greatly declined, while all the cooks stood behind the counter chatting. Several other options across the street that might be better.

In much the same way that Madonna’s unnamed lover made her feel like a virgin, my first bite of the large serving of mashed potatoes and brown gravy made me question whether or not I had ever tasted real food before. What this place lacks in atmosphere, decor, and food presentation is easily made up for in taste and service. Don’t let the drab late 20th century decor deter you. Walk in, sit down, and just enjoy any combination of meats and sides that are sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds.
