Went in today 3/7/26 about 2:25 had to wait a few but there was only 1 waitress doing everything at the time Ricardo was AMAZING he stayed in touch constantly made sure we had everything we needed. Very pleasant and very attentive to us if you get to go by ask for Ricardo you will be very pleased
NOW FOR WHY MY RATING WAS SO LOW: there was a waitress name TERESA that had a large party when they left the busboy was cleaning the table she came over to him trash talking all thise customers that had just left one lady at the table was getting cobbler ask for it togo Teresa told her it was to late she had to eat it there it had been fixed in the bowl (hello could it not have been put in a togo tray) then another couple at another table ask for disposable flatware she walks over and says they got all their food now they want plastic forks. I mean if you dont like your job go somewhere else DO NOT TRASH TALK THE PEOPLE WHO PAY YOU

According to the menu, a chef salad should include: baked or fried chicken breast, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, boiled egg, carrots, red cabbage, and tomatoes — all on a bed of crisp lettuce.

What I received was a box of shredded iceberg lettuce, one boiled egg, and a sprinkle of cheese. No carrots, no cabbage, no tomatoes.

When I called and spoke to management, he said the cashier “ordered me a tossed salad and added an egg to save me money.” The problem is this box of plain lettuce still cost $8.77 — hardly a deal.

If I had wanted a tossed salad, I would have asked for one. Instead, I paid nearly nine dollars for something that wasn’t even close to what was advertised.

Very disappointing.

Has potential and the server said the fried chicken is really good so we ordered it. Figured it would be about 15 minutes or so as the menu says “made to order” and we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, roughly 7PM on a Friday. It was under 5 minutes and our food was served. Looked good but I knew the chicken was going to be dry and it was. The seasonings on it were very good. The corn bread muffins were really good. My side of candied yams were good but they did really have the appearance of coming from a can but as mentioned were tasty. The colliard green were very good. My Mac and cheese could have been better as I think it were sitting in the serving tray longer than it should have. Just can’t get past the “made to order” part and then being served dried chicken, which was probably very good at one point. Staff was very friendly.

What a great local chain! this diner has great variety (especially of sides) for reasonable prices. the carrot & raisin salad was especially good, as was the squash casserole. The baked chicken was great! so was the smoked sausage. oh! and we had to split a very nice piece of lemon meringue pie because we were too full for a dessert apiece. We ate there once on the journey to visit family and once again on the trip home because we liked it so much.

Great place. Have seen it before only in Columbia, several locations, and wondered if it was good. Finally stopped and was quite pleased. The food was served hot, and the server was friendly and attentive. Lots and lots of side choices. Well definitely visit again when we go to Columbia.

So today I went to lizards ticket and it was a good experience… we went for breakfast and my friend and I we ordered the following:

My friend ordered the pork chops with grits and I ordered the grilled chicken breast with hash browns

Overall it was a great experience because the first time when I ordered the grilled chicken breast it was not cooked properly and I returned it and they made a fresh one and cooked well and served again.

The staff is really warm and nice and the place is overall very spacious keeping the social distancing in mind.

The coffee is good too. I loved the omelette that they served along with the breakfast and the hash browns were too good.

Overall a good place to have all meals I would prefer the lunch and dinner as they have more exciting options – do try the fries and the fried chicken.

This place is great. Good food, decent portions, and reasonable prices. And the service was great! Might have to stop here again on the way north!

Edit: I stopped back on the way north, and got their roast turkey with cornbread dressing and yams. Just as good as before.

I at first thought it wasn’t going to be too good, just cause of the area and appearance on the outside of the building. It turned out to be the best food I’ve had from a lizards thicket in a while. I always order a chicken fried steak when ordering from here, as I’ve just grown accustomed to eating it, as it was a dish that’s priced low. It wasn’t too chewy, rubbery, crunchy, or fatty it was just right. They even tweaked the gravy a bit more than what it normally was, more pepper. It was so good I had to order another one, calling it desert. Our waitress was also just overall perfect.
