Last eve I had my first dinner @ this place and I will be a regular. Everything was made to order and preparation & ingredients were delicious! Prices were so affordable!
Spring rolls were so tasty & fried to perfection!
Fried chicken tenders in bao buns were so tasty.
Wanton/noodle soup was huge & broth was obviously home-made and rivaled my “Jewish-penicillin” generations old recipe.
I can’t wait to get back & try the many stir-fried entrees.
Mahalo nui loa Liz for an excellent meal and for being my neighborhood favorite!
Please give it a try – tell them Bob (with one O) sent you!!
Only restaurant listed as Chinese cuisine on azrestuarantweek website. Has both lunch and dinner specials posted. Started with brisket noodles, next was chicken empanadas, Chinese salad, brisket buns, chicken fried rice, dumplings and finished with green tea ice cream, unfortunately phone died. Excellent service, no wait, hostess also came out to check on diners. Food was hot and freshly prepared. I was pleasantly surprised by empanadas which were, for me, a new item at Chinese restaurant, usually see this for Cuban and Mexican cuisine. Everything that was fried was done well and there was nice texture and crisp to vegetables. Something in the rice had this little crunch that i liked, i wonder if it was sprinkled over the top or just part of the cooking. The ice cream was top notch immediately I knew it was authentic matcha, when inquired about the source, the server confirmed what i already knew imported directly from Japan. Not likely will you get this quality of ingredients at this price. Not to mention the portions were enough for 4, i ate twice and took two plates to my neighbor. Note that i only promote and thumbs up positive experience… this business has my stamp of approval. #chinesecuisines #azrestaurantweek w###
Thank you Liz & Howard for your unmatched hospitality, unreal flavors, and Michelin-level quality every time.
We came hungry, and started with steaming edamame, dumplings, and tempura shrimp (the holy trinity)
The cashew chicken & veggies is my go-to lighter option – but this visit, the steamed bao buns stole the show – melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Liz even brought out seaweed so we could roll our own sushi – something I wouldn’t have thought to order… now I’m fully obsessed!
The dish that officially tops my list though: Liz’s Lo Mein Noodles combo with chicken, pork, & beef. I’ve never tasted anything like it – dangerously addictive.
10/10 experience. Always. And strolling around the beautiful @scottsdalequarter afterward is the perfect way to end the evening.
Counting down til my next visit!
The food was excellent and Liz herself came out to chat with us to make sure that everything lived up to our expectations. They even brought out a big bowl of fresh, homemade dumplings for our table to share. They were delicious. After chatting for a short while, we made our way out and, as we were leaving, Liz asked us if we wanted to wait a few moments she’d send us home with some fresh beef dumplings (the ones we had were pork)! Unfortunately, we were flying out the next day and couldn’t take them.
I would absolutely go visit with Liz and her family again the next time I’m in Scottsdale and I’d recommend you do the same if you’re in the area. And def try the dumplings–they were epic.
