Lunch with my boyfriend. My shrimp was great.
His steak was good but not as flavorful as he would of liked.
We like going there for lunch.
We’ve tried a variety of things in past.
Chicken Quesdilla is huge and delicious.
Rice pilaf is good. Veggies should be hot. Alfredo sauce should be hot and creamier.
But always a great experience in the booth area even though we don’t drink cocktails.
Soup was good and side salad was big. Bathrooms always clean. Staff always friendly.
Update 6/2/23 tried another new York steak. Was better but has had better. We tried it again since it was near by & we were hungry.
I got fish n chips. Lots of breading but flavorful. Salad was good. Different server but was ok.

Food was pretty good! I got the barbecue bacon cheeseburger on sourdough bread and the fiancé got the BLT. Service was OK, she was pretty good in the beginning and then once we got the food we really didn’t see her again. Actually had to go up there and ask for our bill. But I will be back for the food

This place has always been my go-to for food or drinks. Even after reopening, Livingstone’s hasn’t lost it’s charm. The staff is amazing, the food is well portioned and home-cooked. The drinks are pretty strong too if you’re looking for value. Just want a drink and a pub snack? This place will satisfy.

The place was nice and it was busy. Getting drinks from the bar took a while and had no organization. We went to hang out and have some drinks. The horrible experience came at closing. We were finishing our drinks when they told us we had X minutes till no more drinks. That was fine. Not even a minute later the security jumped on the brick ledge where we were sitting and literally kicked the drinks of it. No warning no nothing just kicked the drinks and the glass cups broke inches from us. Another employee came over because we were shocked and in disbelief. The employee recognized that the security was being excessively agreeable, and all the patrons leaving were very upset with the aggressiveness of the security .

Had high hopes about this place since I always see people coming in and out. I’ve never been to a pub where the bartender had zero suggestions, a bad attitude, and clearly a lack of knowledge for alcoholic drinks. The service we got from the bartender was the worst I’ve experienced in Tower district and I was embarrassed to have brought my friend there from out of state. My friend asked for a cocktail and was met with disdain and the response of “we’re a meat and potato kinda bar we don’t do that here”. I know she’s capable of decent customer service and conversation, because we watched her interact perfectly fine with two other patrons. Not being able to make certain cocktails is fine (it was a mojito by the way), but rude replies and a lack of suggestions or helpfulness was beyond disappointing.

So happy it’s back open! Always a great place for weekend breakfast. Wonderful pancakes and eggs Benny and the stones Mary!!! Amazing curly fries. The best favorite bar in tower besides Strummers.
