Wow. Me and my husband stopped in to try the food & immediately were hit with such incredible smells as soon as we opened the door. Jamaican music playing out loud. Very welcoming & clean. The staff were very polite & the gentleman behind the counter showed us all the options available, a large plate is $24 & WORTH IT! The portions are so big! Food is extremely DELICIOUS and fresh. This food tastes like it was made with love like seriously. I will be a regular! This place is amazing. 100% the best in ROCHESTER NY. Please do yourself a favor & stop by here to get some food, you will not regret it! I got the jerk chicken with rice & sweet plantains. My husband got the curry goat with rice & cabbage. SO GOOD!! We dined at the restaurant & loved looking at all the stuff they have. I was expecting to ask for a to-go box because of how big the portions were but it wasn’t needed because we ate the whole thing lol so good 10/10 recommend!!

People were telling me to try this place. So I decided to give it a try. Let me start by saying the service was great!. My order was taken quickly and the staff was super nice. Now the food, I got a curry chicken dinner and a small Jerk chicken dinner with 2 beef patties totally $47 . The jerk chicken was so spicy! I understand Jamaican Jerk Chicken has a kick to it….but my God!!! When it’s so spicy you can barely eat it. The little jerk sauce you get on the side was good! The Mac and Cheese was decent. The curry chicken was bland, a lot of curry seasoning but not much salt to taste . My biggest disappointment was the beef patties…I love a flaky flavorful beef patty and these unfortunately were not it…the ones you get frozen in the grocery stores taste better. Overall I just wasn’t impressed especially for the price. But I will say try it for yourself.

This was my first time at this restaurant. And in the area. When I came in,there were two women waiting to be helped and I was behind them next. After awhile a man came in after me and one of the workers got up to help him and thought it was a good idea to serve him before me. Of course I said something and the worker said oh he was just getting a patty. Well I dont care what he was ordering he needed to wait his turn. Not the best customer service but once I placed my order with the lady. She was nice and bubbly but that doesnt change the fact they allowed someone to cut in front of me just because he was getting a patty. For one no one even asked me if that was all I was getting so either way not the best practices to have as a restaurant. Make everyone wait their turn. It’s simple. The food was good and thats the only reason I gave two stars.

I ordered the lunch special with Brownstew Chicken and Rice & Peas. Sooo good and comforting! I’d just note that the lunch specials are $9 now instead of $5 like one of the featured photos suggest. I still think that’s a good deal though for the amount of food they give you!

I really wanted to be able to rate this place higher. Clean facilities and friendly staff for sure. However I couldn’t eat the food. It just wasn’t good. It smelled amazing so I was disappointed. I paid $37 and the rice was either old or not cooked thoroughly because it was crunchy. The jerk was completely dry and the oxtails while tender just wasn’t hitting. I’d give them another shot if anything was edible but it just wasn’t. Again very friendly but the food was just not good. The picture is from what I plated but still couldn’t eat

I called ahead to see if they had what I wanted they said yes, I drove all the way there to find out they didn’t. I was fine with that but then they messed up my entire order except for the entree and I was over charged $10 now looking back at the menu??? It’s good but def a rip off

The employees there were very nice and patient to my guests and I. We had 2 orders of Oxtail, yellow rice and cabbage. 1 Beef Patty and a side order of greens. So terrible that we couldn’t leave another bite lol
