We’ve been searching Bayside for a good while trying to find an honest, homely Vietnamese restaurant and are glad to report this is definitely the one.
The food was exceptional; authentic flavours and very fresh ingredients. The beef broth was the best I’ve had in recent memory.
You can tell they love their customers and it was surprising to see how many people there were obviously frequent diners. The family who run it are beautiful people.
We’ll be back next week.

Vietnam 504 is one of my all time favourite restaurants (or takeaway).
The food is always incredibly fresh and tasty, whether it is a Pho or Vietnamese omelette, special fried rice or beef and vegetables in oyster sauce. There is an extensive menu to choose from and the servings are more than ample (I.e. very generous).
A relaxed environment if you would like to dine in, owned and run by a beautiful family who are passionate about what they do and are such a delight.
I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you’re ever near Bayside.

I took my partner here for date night. i felt welcomed and invited to eat dinner and it was nothing but joy. the food here is delicious so fresh and filling i recommend it.

Ordered take away stir fry with rice. I expected the usual plastic container with stir fry and then separate small container with rice.
What I got was a significantly reduced take away container size which was more like one of those portion sized supermarket meals, or an entree size meal. I couldn’t believe how small the container was. Getting takeaway from Asian restaurants usually meant there were left overs as you couldn’t eat it all it was so big. This container was tiny with the rice in with the stir fry..
So the rice took up space the stir fry normally would.
All for $22. I am a foodie and felt completely ripped. Barely felt fulfilled.
Like most other things now, we are paying more for less.

Great Vietnamese food, great service. If you are wandering up and down Hampton St, wondering which of the great cafes and restaurants to choose, and you have decided on good, clean, Vietnamese cuisine with great service, then look no further. Little Vietnam 504 is the place for you. Enthusiastic staff who will help you negotiate the menu, service to your order (we wanted the food to arrive quickly, and sure enough it did). Highly recommended.
