Bumped into this ice cream enroute donners pass vista point. We tried vanilla bean with hot chocolate and pea nuts. Ice cream had just about the right sweet and it was awesome. Very friendly owner. We tried latte which was great too. It will be our must visit shop for our next visit to Tahoe

Absolutely delicious! Perfectly creamy and so many delectable flavors. What fresh ice cream should taste like. From the perfectly balanced chocolates to the creaminess of the Truckee Trails flavor to the diary free sorbets – every flavor deserves recognition. The mint chip is made with real mint! Current specialty flavor is blueberry honey lavender, but they also have classics like vanilla and spooner strawberry. We keep coming back every year (multiple times every trip) because it’s also a great family and dog friendly setting.

What a lovely ice cream spot along Donner Lake! We stopped on our way back from walking in the old train tunnels up the mountain! Lots of unique flavors and we particularly enjoyed that they had lots of size options plus coffee! Plenty of tables to sit at outside. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town from Sacramento!!
