What an amazing fusion of Asian and Peruvian flavors! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail, making the experience even better. This place quickly became one of my favorites — and the Nikkei Ribs Pork is my absolute favorite dish! Highly recommend!

Little Tokyo Sushi & Grill is honestly one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever had. This place is anything but mediocre. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The rolls come out fast, the portions are great, and the quality is way above most places in the area. Service is friendly and consistent every time. If you want solid sushi without disappointment, this place is it. Highly recommend.

Food was great but the service was above and beyond

Came here late in the evening on 11/6. We were the last customers in the restaurant and there was some sketchy person loitering outside the restaurant. I told our server and he already noticed too. He gathered a few other people to stand outside the restaurant, acting like they were just chatting so that we can leave safely. They even waved back once were far enough.

Food was fast and really interesting, a true fusion restaurant.

Would come again for both the food and the service!

Went on a Friday evening. Food came out pretty fast since it wasn’t busy. Food was mediocre, tasted more heated than freshly cooked. It was also overpriced for the quality and small portion size. Don’t let the presentation fool you. One of my orders were “short ribs” for $16 with 6-7 small pieces pictured….really?? It was nothing more than small pieces of pork ribs. Short ribs are beef NOT pork.I just laughed when I tasted it. Ordered two glasses of wine for $18, tasted like bottom shelf wines.

Service was fine, nothing special. Small restaurant with nice decor.

Would I ever visit again? Absolutely not!! It was just a new restaurant experience.

The servers and atmosphere here were both great. I loved the decor of the place and our server came around fairly often to check on us and did a great job. However, the (Peruvian) food was fairly disappointing. We ordered the short rib ramen and the stir fry steak, and neither of them were great. The ramen did not have many ingredients in it and overall it was pretty bland. The amount of vegetables in it was lackluster too. I feel like if they made the broth more flavorful and added more toppings, it could be a significantly better dish. It was also priced at $18 which I do not think reflected the quality. The stir fry steak had a slightly off-putting smell and also was not too special. The gravy in the dish just ended up getting the fries soggy too. At $25, this dish felt vastly overpriced for the amount of food and quality. I would recommend rethinking the recipe and increasing the amount of meat and vegetables.

We also got a Nikkei Sampler, which I very much enjoyed, but I also felt like the price was a tad too high at $25 for 7 or 8 pieces of sushi. However, I greatly appreciated the chef coming out to describe each of the pieces – it definitely made it feel more special.

I personally only visited this restaurant because I had a Groupon, but if I had paid full price for the food, I would have been even more disappointed.

Sadly, despite the great staff and atmosphere, I would not recommend trying this restaurant. I think the menu is way too expensive and they need to focus in and perfect a couple different recipes. The menu is 4 full pages, which is a lot to go through. Hopefully this restaurant can improve in the future.

Ok. I was here about two years ago and loved it. My mom is a regular, with her most recent visit being about 4 months ago. We decided to visit cause we were craving for some good peruvian food.

To our surprise, the menu was different. With seco de carne missing, which I had ordered before, but it didnt matter. There wereol other options. We ordered arroz con Mariscos, tallarin Saltado, 2 orders of sushi, tequeños and chicha. All good until the arroz con mariscos and tallarin arrived. El arroz Con mariscos was not criollo. That’s fair, and can’t complain much. This is fusion. My fault for expecting something else. But this dish felt like eating wet couscous with seafood. Again, the expectation is on me. I personally didn’t like this dish. My mom thought it was different, not bad but also not great!

When I got to the tallarin, this was sour, felt like lime? Anyway, I had this dish here before so I felt pretty confident i was going to like it but nope. It was sour, I picked out all the meat, ate it, and was done with it.

We were going to order 2 fried rice to go but my mom wanted to ask if the menu, or the way of making the dishes changed, because the food was different. She talked to the manager and he apologized implied that the tallarines would be taken out of the check, and took our left overs without asking if we wanted to take them home.

In the end, we payed for the tallarin, and didn’t get to take the left overs. Not that I cared anyway because I probably wasn’t going to eat it, but not good to take the food, not offer to go boxes and still charge us for it.

Anyway, too expensive for very little dishes, and not great food anymore? and again, I been here before my expectations were high but something changed in the menu, or the way dishes are made. A bit bummed out.

Definitely more Peruvian in flavor fusion. Appetizers were decent, however sushi fundamentally needs to be tightened more when rolling to avoid falling apart before eating and the rice itself appears short grained. Paella dish was pleasant until shrimp hard shell pieces and grinds of sand were present…which made it difficult to enjoy. Waitresses seemed annoyed for us arriving 1.5 hrs before closing and tried to rush us in making food choices…not realizing we drove an hour to get there…older waitress was annoyed when I asked for a lemonade refill and it definitely tasted different from the first one in a non pleasant fashion…should rename this spot to Nikkei Sushi instead of Little Tokyo with pictures of llamas everywhere. Bathroom had soap drippings all over the sink…not authentically Japanese when it comes to cleaning standards, customer service, and food quality. First and last time for me.

Lovely place and excellent ambience. The food was amazing. Flavors mind-blowing. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday- she loves sushi. On another note, my husband doesn’t like sushi, and he was a little predisposed about having any meal. When he acknowledge the great menu they have – Peruvian/ Japanese -started ordering some appetizers and a pisco sour. Oh my! He was happiest of the table. Everything he tried, everything…. He loved. For me, that says a lot. We are coming back soon! Thank you!

Chef’s kiss We ordered The Nikkei Roll which was without a doubt one of the yummiest sushi rolls I’ve ever tasted. If was umami bomb of delishissness. My nephew had the lomo salteado- which he loved! For dessert my favorite was the panna cotta with kiwi and grapes which not only esthetically pleasing but was soooo delicious and I can’t stop thinking about the next time I get to eat it again! Stephanie, our waitress was an excellent server with charm and very knowledgeable about the menu! Thank you and I’ll be back asap!
