We are a family-run independent local diner, featuring food from producers around the Gallatin Valley. We are proud to grow many of our greens, herbs and vegetables ourselves and source our eggs, meat, and dairy from small ranches in the area who raise their animals on pasture! Our menu changes based on seasonal availability. Come visit us for a meal in our dining room, at our bar, or on our rooftop in downtown Bozeman, one block off Main at Wallace and Babcock.

I was hesitant to order the pork belly, not because I don’t love pork belly, but because I wasn’t sure about the “asian flare” this version had — but OMG it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I love when a chef knows how to get just the right flavor combination that makes a dish delicious from first to LAST bite.
We tried the carrots and the hummus for entrees and they were both delicious! I had the pork tamales they great portions and amazing flavor, my husband had the lamb pasta, they were very generous with the lamb but the pasta was too al dente for my taste- my husband thought the pasta was ok, just different tastes. For dessert we had the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream – the ice cream was delicious, cookie was ok.
We got some recommendations from our waitress and she knew what she was talking about – nothing like staff that knows and have tried the menu to be able to share more with the customers.
Considering that we did a full meal, two entres, two main dishes, one alcoholic drink and one nonalcoholic, and dessert my husband and I thought that prices were pretty reasonable-for a nice kind of special occasion Bozeman restaurant.
We will definitely be back!
To start with drinks, we split a bottle of High Plains Drifter, a sparkling apple cider which was delightful and nearly was reminiscent of a light white wine. Then for appetizers we had the grilled sourdough and fried carrots with broccolini, and let me say, those were some of the best veggies I’ve ever tried. For mains I had the potato gnocchi and I tried the spicy noodle salad. The gnocchi is a bit rich but delicious and the spicy noodle salad lives up to its name and got a few of my friends a little choked up, but that isn’t too say it wasn’t very fresh and flavorful. I also tried the anise ice cream, which as I might have expected, wasn’t for me, but that’s personal taste, I don’t like licorice, but I can tell the quality is there if you are one who likes to partake.
We had the sourdough toast, burger, trout tacos, and cookie. All of which was great. We had expected the cookie to be larger, more cast iron cookie size, but would still would get it again.
Everything that came out of the kitchen was beautifully plated and the culinary team was professional and looked to really care about their work.
The restaurant is family owned and sources most ingredients locally which is great. The one thing I would say is I wish their ketchup wasn’t made in house. Homemade ketchup is just something to skip or at least have an organic Heinz option(Revelry does this). The homemade was liquidy and tasted of barbecue sauce, not ketchup. I may well be the minority in this though.
They do have a credit card fee (“service fee”) of I think 3% from math memory. I didn’t see it listed as something on the menu but may have missed it. Small rant… I never understand why places that do this don’t just raise their pricing in general and not show that fee. Others in BZN have been adding that fee on as well and feels off since the vast majority of transactions are on a credit card; just plan for it in your pricing like you plan for food and labor costs.
Such small things, because the place is great and so is the atmosphere. We will certainly be back (maybe BYOK*) and am glad to have found another great spot around town!
