Total Disappointment – Save Your $25
I’ve had a lot of airport food, but this “Beef Pho” from Little Purse was a total waste of money. At $25 with tip a bowl, the value is zero.
First off, it wasn’t even Pho—it felt like a very poorly executed, cold Ramen. The broth was incredibly salty, tasting exactly like soy sauce mixed with plain water rather than a complex, slow-cooked broth.
The ingredients were all wrong:
The Beef: Instead of the traditional thin slices, it was served with shredded/pulled beef that was dry.
The Egg: I was expecting something with a soft yolk, but it was just a cold, hard-boiled egg.
Temperature: The entire dish was served lukewarm/cold, which is unacceptable for a noodle soup.
The only “efficient” part was the QR code ordering system at the table, but that doesn’t make up for the quality of the food. If you are at Terminal C, skip this and find something else. You are paying premium prices for a bowl of salty, cold water.

What a great little find in the airport. I was in the mood for some dumplings and it took minutes for me to get the best plate of dumplings. I’ve had in an airport. Even the chopped green onions were fresh. The dumplings came 5 to a plate with sauce and I could have had 10.

My server was kind and efficient and Emmanuel was a very friendly guy who thanked me for coming and sealed the deal on a great visit.

I’ll be stopping by whenever I can.

This is easily the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in my entire life.

I would not wish this restaurant upon my enemy.

From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was terrible.

Let’s start off with the main part, the food.

I ordered the Korean chicken rice bowl, and if you had told me this was served at a school cafeteria, I would believe you. The chicken itself was absolutely disgusting, rubbery, and old. It was definitely something frozen, and the sauce that they put on it was putrid and inedible.

The steamed broccoli on the side was the most bland thing I’ve ever eaten. They could’ve at least put some salt.

The jasmine rice that it is served with was crunchy. They don’t even know how to make rice.

The spicy Korean salad was also beyond disgusting. All it is is a bunch of uncooked noodles that are super crunchy, and there is absolutely zero sauce. At this point, the restaurant is just playing a joke by serving you uncooked noodles with no sauce and some dry packaged chicken on top if you add it.

Lastly, the carrot cake that they serve is freezer burnt and is laughable. They put a ton of raw carrot shavings on top of the cake to try to make it look fancy, but the cake itself is drier than the Sahara desert, the icing is bitter, and again those raw carrots on top Taste atrocious.

Let’s not forget about the service. I’ve never seen worse staff at a restaurant. They don’t care about you, they are rude and unhelpful, and they don’t even come to check on you at all during your meal.

Lastly, the atmosphere is pretty bad. The restaurant is extremely dirty, and staff don’t even clean the table after people have eaten.

Again, I’m not joking that this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at, and it’s understandable why this restaurant has a one star average rating on Google. Stay away for your own good.

Totally Scam!!!!! Worst experience that I’ve ever had. Paying $20 for a bagel that I can’t even call it “food”. No service at all. No water provided until I asked for it twice. But they ask customer to pay ahead, and the machine would automatically select 20% tips and force you to continue to payment – mandatory tips. When I realized and asked for refund, they just act innocent. Please do not ever step into this place

I kinda wish I had looked at the reviews prior. First off. I don’t like it when the menu isn’t visible anywhere. The OTG ordering system is obnoxious. It feels like some sort of evil exam in phone-based tech skills. The rice was under cooked. The cheesecake was pretty good ! And the chicken was kinda so so. I’m not a food critique but for 40$ (no drinks included), it’s a bit of a stretch for the value.

Fantastic dumplings! Please please do yourself a favor and get the veggie dumplings. They are so good. The sweet-and-sour chicken was pretty good as well. The chicken dumplings, but by far the veggie dumplings are a winner. Match it with a nice beer and you are good to go. Ambience is contemporary American Asian very cool music pumping throughout. You don’t feel like you’re in the Newark airport. So transport yourself to Asia and come on by.

It’s airport food, so you already know it’s gonna be way overpriced and not of exceptional quality, but for what it is, I’m very happy with my experience. We were looking for vegan options, which is already a task if you want anything besides a very sad “salad.” We got the vegan ramen and my first impression was that it looked much better than expected and tasted okay. They ignored the notes we put on the order, but that didn’t ruin anything. Table service was basically nonexistent besides dropping off utensils and the food–no one talked to us. After adding some salt, pepper, and Tabasco (seemingly only condiments available) it really tasted quite good. If you have to eat at the airport, this is a fine option.

2025 update:
There are 2 of these. I keep updating on Google maps, but it doesn’t show up. I still think its the best place to eat.

2024 update:
There are actually 2 of these in terminal c. I keep trying to fix it on Google maps, but right now there is only 1 venue to review.

It is still a great place to eat at the Newark airport. Dumplings are available even during breakfast time.

2023 update:
Came back here while flight was delayed. I think they were having an off night. Not sure if it was the service or the kitchen, but things seemed to take a while. When the food did come out, it was fantastic. Still recommended, but not if you are pressed for time.

Previous review from 2019:
Enjoyed the fried chicken appetizer special.

The service was super slow. Even the water came after 10 minutes. Ordered Asian salad, shishito peppers and vegetable dumplings. Food was good! Asian salad had apples and was a little tangy and filled with almonds. Shishito peppers had some pear/ fig candy coated with spices, it was really really good! Dumplings had peas and broccoli filling, skin was very thin. It tasted good, but was missing the side of chilly sauce or something.
