High quality fish from well sourced locations. Incredible flavor to the hand rolls and the chicken karaage is some of the best I have ever had. Amazing lunch, dinner or date night spot. Located in a food truck park called ‘the lawn’ with free, convenient parking and many other foods.

The freshness, presentation, and variety of food offered here in a food truck is simply impressive! I like to check out the specials mostly, maybe once or twice a month, and I’m always happy with what the head chef comes up with. Food is made on the spot so be prepared to wait for a quality meal!

Their fish is great and good but I’m leaving a poor review because I went for their Sunday 50 dollar dinner deal and wasn’t able to order it as it’s for two people only. I think it’s really stupid that one person can’t order it if they are hungry and sit down and eat it there. I would be paying the same price and just be the only one eating it so who cares if I didn’t bring someone to split it with me. Out of principle an annoyance I will not be going back there again.

Overall amazing fish quality and delicious karage. Heating lamp by the seating table to keep us warm. Unlimited wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger.
Reason for 4 star was because the hand rolls were a little clumsy – rice:fish ratio was off and rice was too clumpy. Some handroll flavors were too unconventional for our taste, but can see the appeal.

Joel was very knowledgeable and friendly, I could tell he had a passion for the cuisine. His suggestions, accommodations, and presentation really turned my birthday evening into a wonderful experience. He even had free chilled bottles of water because it was so hot outside. The prices were great, and the quality of food was excellent. Easily some of the best sushi I’ve had, by far. I personally recommend the Lobster Temaki.

Loved this spot! Honestly a hidden gem, I don’t expect a ton from food trucks but the chef behind Little Nishi is doing something special. Each hand roll has a generous portion of fish and the flavors accompanying it are so balanced and delicious. I tried the hamachi and the vegan one and I loved the flavors that were in the miso peach for the vegan one, so creative but it worked really well. The standout was the chicken karage, it was delicious dark meat and we all devoured it with the homemade mustard. Everything was excellent and the service was amazing too. Again, shout out to the chef, you’re truly making something beautiful here in Austin. I can’t wait to come back and try more.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Austin out of a food truck I can get on my lunch break? Say no more. Eel and Brie was a combo I’d never think of but that hand roll was wildly good, the scallops were so fresh and delicious, and the tamago was the perfect bright flavorful appetizer!
