Always fresco! Little Mama’s is inspired by the old home-style Italian restaurants in New England from the 60s and 70s. Really well done classics, without pretense. A stiff cocktail and a proper bowl of fresh pasta or a knob of just-made mozzarella are the simple but elegant meals that keep us in business. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been.
Everything was good.
I got there without a reservation and originally told me it’d take 90 minutes but found me a table in 30.
The appetizer fresh mozzarella was incredible. The pasta was out of this world. The drinks… I had a non alcoholic one but added a shot of rum.. incredible
Service was outstanding.
Really an amazing place in every way. Would take my partner, wife, parents and everyone here.

Update (September 29th): Despite feeling a certain way, we believe in second chances and have yet to try a better Italian place than this one and we were really craving it..
I’ll consider that time an exception. We returned to the bar. The service this time was much more personalized and egalitarian. Perhaps last time, we were seated next to one of the owners or someone very important
For appetizer, this time we tried the crab cake, which was very tasty. My husband went for another Parmesan with meatballs because he just loves them hehe I went for the sausage ravioli, which was absolutely divine, one of the best ravioli I’ve ever eaten
We also had some great mocktails and an so so yummy yummy cheesecake, one of my favorite one now
We were left feeling nice, satisfied, and with leftovers for later. What can I say? We’ll keep going back

September 1st: We’d tried the original one in South Park a while back and were always satisfied, until one occasion when we ordered pasta it came out pretty overcooked and even when it was returned, the new pasta was overcooked as well . But oh well Now that we have this other one closer to us, we decided to give it another chance because we usually really liked this place.
It was pretty busy, but we’re not picky about seating, and we understand that we didn’t make a reservation, so we ended up sitting at the bar which usually it’s cool.
The service was… Ummm… average? There seemed to be some preference for certain customers, but I know that happens sometimes in this industry…
Honestly, the drinks and food were just on point as how it used to when we used to visit the other one. We truly missed those meatballs, which we consider the best we’ve ever had, so in the end, I didn’t feel like mentioning anything extra at that moment.
We also tried their bread pudding, which was super fantastic but honestly, it took way too long to arrive even though the restaurant was pretty empty at that point and we had no approach or explanation of the dessert delay ☹️
I’m glad they opened another location near us to try out and I wish them much success, but I think that for the next time, or well from now on, if we get a little mama craving, it’s better to order it to go and avoid having to go through some other kinda unpleasant experience that isn’t very personalized or attentive ♂️

Our go to Italian food restaurant for ANYTHING!!! Celebrations, date night, family night out, double date with friends or family. This place never disappoints. The food is the best in Charlotte and you can taste the love, passion, and skill the chefs put into every single dish! Definitely make reservations and enjoy. From the appetizers to desserts it is spot on!!!

It is great for special occasions. It was seating in the upper level of the restaurant as well.
Parking right near it may be a little scarce, but you can drive over to the next lot and park your vehicle.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening without a reservation, which meant we had to dine at the bar since the place was fully booked. However, this didn’t diminish our experience at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the Italian cuisine and the wonderful atmosphere.
Despite the seating situation, the ambiance was inviting, and the food was delightful. I would definitely love to come back here again!

We went to little mama’s for a last minute date night and had a wonderful time. The service from our waitress Kendra was excellent. She was very attentive and made several suggestions that we ended up going with as it was our first time ( not the last) at Little mama. The meatballs (mouth watering…) I had to order some to go!. Everything we ordered was top notch . We highly recommend! …. I had to edit… because our bread pudding just showed up… and let me tell you…… im in heaven!

Kudos to our server, Emily, who was very friendly and made awesome menu suggestions! We thoroughly enjoyed the Stracciatella with the Peppadew Peppers (so yummy!) at her recommendation as well as the Fresh Radiatore and Joe’s Diavolo Pizza with one of their Pasta Specials of the Day. All of the food was delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back.

The food was delicious, the bread included focaccia and rolls served with chili olive oil, a delight! My husband and I shared the Fresh Fettuccine al Burro with grilled chicken. It was light, fresh, and packed with flavor. The staff was all friendly and attentive, and the place had a great atmosphere with dim lighting and gratifying music. 10/10

A great visit. We started with some bread. Our server was great. We stopped for lunch. My wife had chicken and broccoli and I had chicken parmesan. Hers was 10. And mine was 16. A really good deal and lots to eat.
