Oh, where do I start…. I’ve been here a few times over the years. Overall, it’s been a good place for my sushi cravings, and I live not too far away. It’s a convenient location with plenty of parking, and other places to visit in the same shopping place. It’s a small restaurant, and given the time and day, can be full.
Service has always been friendly, but is slow when they are busy. Many times it’s just one server for everyone, and one person preparing sushi. Once in a while they’ll forget water, soda etc., but just need a reminder.
Food, this is where it varies. There have been times where the food is consistent with the menu and/or my expectations, and there have been times like my last visit where three of the four sushi rolls ordered came from the twilight zone, I was confused because they were completely different than previous visits but I was told that’s how they make it. I’ve even pointed out that there are ingredients not on the roll that is stated on the menu. The response was ‘that’s how we make it’. I was not happy paying for something different than what was represented on the menu. I like to support local businesses, and will still stop by here, but they really need to step up their game.

Overall, this restaurant is fine. When we came, there was a large group seated across many tables, and with the menu variety, it seems like a good place for a big group. There was a small sushi bar but they did not offer seating there. The sevice was fine and the specialties rolls we ordered were good. However, the yellowtail sashimi could have been fresher. It was also roughly cut and didn’t come with shredded daikon radish.

It’s a tasty Japanese restaurant. I had an Udon bowl, yum. My friend had tempura and a sushi roll, also delicious. I will definitely be back again, so much food to choose from.

Little Mad Fish Is Cool. I work near, so I eat here from time to time.

Great place to grab lunch if you work near, but no place that I would drive out of my way for. Nor is this a place I’d eat at if I didn’t work near by.

The owner is nice and welcoming.
Good for A quick bite.

Food is decent but pricey. Ordered soyu ramen for lunch to go. Broth is flavorful. Slurped up the whole thing. Noodle and meat portions are tiny…kid size tiny…not enough bang for your bucks….

The udon we got was not good. The noodles were overcooked and unsalted. The broth didn’t taste like anything. The gyoza and California rolls were fine. The service was nice.

Am go to restaurant in California. Great bistro in the 6th. Never had a bad meal there – the bread is amazing. Reservations are needed well in advance.

I like this place for a quick satisfying bite. Good lunch place for their ramen/ soba. Has some Korean inspired dishes like Dolsotbap and Bibimpap. Casual. Not that busy.
