Have lived in Pearl City a while back, but when I moved back I was surprised to see a restaurant like this here. Reminds me of Hy’s in Waikiki but a little cheaper and no dress code. Came in after work and I noticed a lot of families and friends coming for happy hour. I was seated at a table and ordered a nice salad with a filet mignon and a virgin lilikoi martini. My server was very nice and were always checking to see if my food and drinks were to my liking. The complimentary bread was warm and fresh with butter. My salad was crisp with a vinaigrette, blue cheese crumbles, and chopped bacon. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and my side of asparagus and potato gratin were seasoned well. Also ordered an affogato for dessert to end the meal. Everything tasted amazing, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was calming. If you want to treat yourself to a good meal, definitely give this place a try.

Pros: Numerous servers who are accommodating, lots of parking spaces, interesting decor and seating arrangements.

Cons: All side dishes are Ala-A-Cart, bruschetta is dry lacks flavor, individual menu prices increased by ten to $15 more per websites menu. A 90-minute restriction time placed on guest and no happy hour prices, if reservations (only walking). Overall, the meal is not worth the price!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start.

We were seated at a bar top directly by the front door, and every time it opened, a cold draft blew in making both us and our food cold throughout the night.

We ordered several items from both the happy hour and dinner menu. The steak tartare was bland and completely lacked seasoning. For comparison, The Pig and the Lady executes this dish exceptionally well; this version missed the mark entirely.

The steak tacos had potential, but the wasabi sauce overwhelmed everything else on the plate and completely overpowered the flavor of the steak.

The one standout was the steak tips with mushrooms, absolutely divine and the only dish that truly delivered.

The lamb chops were flavorless and undercooked (not medium rare as ordered). After sending them back to add garlic butter, they were returned well done; a basic temperature request that should not be difficult for a steakhouse to execute.

We also ordered sautéed mushrooms and specifically confirmed they came with garlic and onions. We were assured they did. Instead, we were served plain steamed button mushrooms. When I politely clarified that we ordered sautéed mushrooms like the ones previously served with the pupu steak the manager approached our table. I explained the discrepancy. She stated they do not make sautéed mushrooms and offered to remove them from the bill.

Later, when we politely asked for her name, her professionalism completely unraveled. She falsely accused my wife of recording her and then began recording my wife herself. She claimed she felt “uncomfortable” and abruptly stormed off to the kitchen.

After closing out our $280 tab, we asked an employee for the manager’s name and were told it was Ryn. Ryn returned and stated they actually can make sautéed mushrooms but were “too busy” to accommodate us. She offered a gift card for the inconvenience, then later said she could not provide one. The entire interaction was disorganized, contradictory, and unprofessional, with blame shifted to staff and the kitchen rather than ownership of the issue. After all this was said, our take out food was never boxed up for us and was ultimately thrown out.

That said, 5 STARS to Andre and Dwayne provided exceptional service throughout the evening. They were attentive, professional, and did their best to navigate an uncomfortable situation. The issues we experienced were not a reflection of their effort.

Inconsistent food, poorly executed corrections, and management behavior that escalated instead of resolved concerns overshadowed what could have been a quality dining experience.

We expected better.

Excellent service, excellent food. Service was spot on. The team of servers kept checking on our table whether it be for food or drinks. Steak was tender and perfectly seasoned. Calamari and mushrooms were light and crunchy. Everything was good, especially the happy hour prices.

So I will say the food is good. Went during happy hour and it was decent. What got me was the service. Let me first talk about my server, outside of her taking my order I never saw her again without flagging her down. I would literally watch her talk to the tables around me. Also when ordering the wine I wasn’t sure trying something new so I asked her – if I try this wine and I don’t like it what happens (this is after I asked for a tasting size ) and she stated : if you don’t drink most of it I I just need to get my manager to replace it. I tried the wine and I didn’t like it I had a half a sip. I can’t get her attention so I have to get another server and let her know. After a couple minutes I hear nothing and I am able to flag her down again while she is still helping the tables around me and that when she lets me know the manager said wine is final sale. To which I request the manager stating that is not what she told me. The manager arrives and I tell him the same and after the manger (Hunter) realizes she told me the wrong information he tells me ….ill take the wine off but I won’t serve you any strip Al drinks. Mind you I told him I intoned to like the wine that was different but if I knew that I couldn’t change it out – I would have ordered a sure thing and I told the server that also. I’m thinking this is my last visit. I can deal with some of it but not the less than adequate service as a whole experience.

Here’s my honest review:
✨Location✨ there is plenty of parking in this shopping center. I admit this is not where I would expect to see a fancy steakhouse but I love that it’s right next door to Lilihas so I can go in and get desserts afterwards
✨Price✨ I think happy hour is where you get your bang for your buck. Almost everything is 50% off during happy hour. Which is unheard of for a restaurant with such high quality food
✨Ambiance✨ something about cough tables for me makes the world of a difference. They have both high tops and elegant tables. I think the interior is a very elegant design.
✨Drinks✨ during happy hour they have the Manhattan and the Collins which are both delicious drinks. They also have a selection of wine and beer that I have never personally partaken in but I like the variety.
✨Recommendation✨ If you can find time between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. you should definitely pop over for happy hour. Not only is this the best price happy hour you’re probably going to get, it’s an amazing experience to do with both lover and friends. I would say get there early because sometimes the steaks sell out.
✨Food✨ You can get a steak for less than $20 perfectly cooked to your choice. They have both the ribeye and the nearest strip. I don’t think you can get a better deal than that. Not to mention we’ve had the tartare, The meatballs, the scallops, the bruschetta, the mac and cheese, the clam chowder, the brulee, everything is really amazing. I think my favorite would for sure be the bacon mac and cheese in the scallops dynamite.
✨Customer Service✨ The customer service is kind of hit or miss. Some days we have absolutely stellar five-star customer service and other days it feels like a rush hour but I will admit they were always pleasant and they are really great at recommending things to replace anything that has sold out. I think that it’s a very upscale and classy service.

We went to Little Joe’s for happy hour. HH is everyday at 4:30pm, as soon as they open. There was a line to get in (starting at 4pm) as they do not take reservations for happy hour. The HH area are high tables & chairs, so it is not accessible. The HH portions are smaller so it’s not as good as a deal as it seems. The food comes out quickly in the beginning but can slow down as they get busier. I got the Joe Collins cocktail lol Joe’s and it was good. I loved how garlicky their garlic fries were. All of our steaks were prepared exactly as we asked for. The potato gratin is a must get side! Their dessert cakes are from Liliha Bakery since they are owned by the same restaurant group and the portion was ginormous. All in all it was a good night, but I may not come back.

We had been missing out on a really good steakhouse since we moved to Hawaii and we were so thankful that we found Joe’s! It is definitely our new go to! My husband got the tomahawk and I opted for the TBone. Both were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Sides were delicious and despite the restaurant being very busy, our service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend for a date night or just if you want a really good steak dinner!

Went here for Wife’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Food was cooked how we liked it and she loved the food she ordered. Though pricy, it’s worth the experience. Would eat there again on special occasions
