Social Profile:

Little Fawn is a new restaurant and cocktail bar from the team behind Échale! Rooted in a California-meets-Mediterranean sensibility, our kitchen highlights seasonal, local, and always fresh ingredients. Located inside The Fin Hotel in Oceanside — a landmark built in 1927 — Little Fawn pairs Executive Chef Seth Tuma’s inventive yet approachable menu with a thoughtful selection of natural wines and a full bar featuring both timeless classics and signature cocktails. While we continue to lovingly restore and reimagine the space, our doors are open seven days a week.

Best caesar salad I’ve ever had.
Food is tapas style with shareable plates for the table, which I’m typically not a fan of, but Little Fawn changed my mind.
We got the caesar salad, brussel sprouts, and steak frites – all of which were exceptional. Oceanside doesn’t have many great steak spots, so Little Fawn is a great addition to the food scene at a good price to quality ratio. The couple next to us were also saying great things about the burger.
My wife got the olive oil martini and I got the negroni, both were great.
We walked in on an early Friday night, but recommend reservations since it was getting crowded as we were leaving.

I know a lot of people mourn Switchboard, but I’ve got to say I like Little Fawn even better. Brunch was superb. I have to shout out the Bloody Mary and the Carajillo for cocktails especially. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes and the steak & eggs—both were exceptional. It’s a small space, but it’s a really nice vibe (not much different from the Switchboard days, tbh). Service was friendly and totally on top of things too.

Wow! Absolutely the best breakfast in town hands down! I tried the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and they were amazing! Coffee was great to and there was extremely friendly and fast service from Richie the bartender/server. He was extremely personable and helped explain the menu to me and was the main reason I wanted to leave this review. I will definitely be back!

We had such a good experience at our first visit that I’ve been literally craving the food. Normally when I get back from a business trip I want to stay home and eat simple food for a few days but all I wanted was the butternut squash dish at Little Fawn!! The lamb meatballs are also delicious as is the beef cheek past and the steak frites… omg everything is so good.
I will be a regular fixture here moving forward…and if they ever take that butternut squash dish off the menu I will riot!!

We were visiting from the very foodie town of Portland, Maine, and I was blown away by the food and drinks at Little Fawn. I’ll run through a few of our drink and dinner selections, served tapas style, because I would reorder every one, starting with “The One The Owner Likes” – a perfect aperitif with silver rum, fernet and cynar. Highlights from there included the butternut squash and mushroom toast with smoky, charred mushrooms. Roasted carrots with a and the delectable chicken skewers rounded out the meal. This is a gem of a restaurant – the menu is thoughtful without being precious, and every dish seemed to be executed with pride. I would go back once a month if I weren’t on the other coast!

I am from LA and came with a party of six and all together we said this was the best steak we had had in years, truly- the steak frites I haven’t had anything like since 2018!!!

Every piece was done with such vision and precision, the butternut squash, the steak, the mushroom toast…..

And we found out much of the cooking is by their chef Seth- who we were incredibly impressed by!!! What a visionary and watch this spot.

Can’t recommend this spot enough! Go go go!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner yesterday. We used to frequent it when this was Switchboard and enjoy chatting with the bartender who has stayed on with the transition to Little Fawn. Service was excellent and our entire meal was delicious but don’t miss the Mushroom Toast and Roasted Butternut Squash – you’ll want to lick the plate! We also had the Beef Cheek Cavatelli, Cesar salad and Lamb Meatballs. The whole menu looks delicious. We’ll be back to try more of it. Side note if you’re craving dessert they don’t have one on the menu – yet – sounds like that may be in the works.

A great little neighborhood gem with an elevated menu, full bar and friendly staff. Plates are on the smaller side, but everything was prepared very well, balanced with lots of flavor. Authentic, cozy charm.
