The few times we have done carry out in the last year may have also left us waiting for 30-45 minutes at a time, but at least they didn’t throw our food on the ground and charge us an extra $20 for it, I guess.
I just need to be patient when they’re busy.
Today their large pizzas are more expensive than competitors and service can be quite slow at times. It’s hit and miss. The employees are friendly enough but I get the feeling they are terribly understaffed. I wouldn’t mind the higher prices, but get these guys some help!
I usually grab a Hot-N-Ready pepperoni, and it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’s fresh and decent, sometimes it tastes like it’s been sitting under the heat lamps a bit too long—dried out cheese, slightly burnt crust, that kind of thing. You get what you pay for, and at around $6 or $7 a pizza, that’s fair.
The breadsticks (or Crazy Bread) are still the best part—when they’re fresh. If not, they’re pretty underwhelming. I’ve also had issues a couple times with online orders not being ready on time, even when the app said they were. Minor inconvenience, but frustrating when you’re trying to grab food quickly.
Staff is usually friendly enough, though they often seem understaffed or overwhelmed during rushes. The store itself is clean but nothing special. It’s very “in and out” service.
Overall, it’s not bad, not great. Just a middle-of-the-road option when you need something fast and cheap. Three stars feels about right.
