I absolutely LOVE Chinese food. So much though then I’ll even eat it when it’s not that great. This was an exception. And looking for a place for lunch I walked by and saw the duck and barbecue ribs as well as the pork in the window. It looked pretty good so I decided to order to go.
After standing in line for 15 minutes with no one coming to the register, it took another 15 minutes to order and the cashier got my name wrong four times so I finally gave up and let her call me a completely different name just so I could get my order completed
About 25 minutes to complete, so that wasn’t bad and I was really hungry and looking forward to a nice dinner in the room…
I ordered three appetizers… The pork Olympia, which they were out of so I ordered the chicken, the pork barbecue ribs, and the chicken potstickers.
Wanna open the package? I noticed I had three small containers as well of a pickled cabbage salad that I didn’t order.
Well, the lumpia was so tiny about the size of my pinky. Because they’re deep-fried all I could taste was grease as they barely had any meat inside
As for the chicken pot stickers and barbecue ribs… absolutely everything was so overcooked and dry I couldn’t have more than a bite of each.
Honestly, it was the first time I had wanted to go back to a restaurant and return the entire meal. Threw the whole thing away.
Disappointed
Looks like it’s prime cut or Tony gwen’s for dinner! Won’t repeat.

We originally went to Jamul Casino to eat father’s day dinner at Tony Gwynns Pub but didn’t realize after 4pm it’s a buffet only. We walked around a while to see if there was other options or if we would just leave and go somewhere else. We saw this place and decided to get a table. Smallish but pleasent environment. Our waitress was friendly but 3 different people tried to take our order. I ordered the beef chow mein , my wife ordered pad Thai noodles. We also ordered some salt and pepper wings. Food was very flavorful but a little over done. Other than that no complaints.

The Chicken Chow Mein was on point! Fresh veggies, light fluffy noodles, good chicken, great sauce.
The others were not as impressed with their Mongolian Beef (super peppery) and Chicken Chow Fun (not the flavoring expected).

I like going to this recently when I visit Jamul Casino. Just know you must be 21+ to enter here.
The food is decently priced. If you are a casino player you can get a discount. Portions are decent and the quality is also decent. Since this is a casino, the ambiance is always a bit noisy or loud.
If you’re not in the mood to sit down, they can take your orders outside a kiosk stand to the right of the outside.

Food was easy to order and very quick. We had so much we had to take it back to the car before we hit the slots. Chicken and beef lo mein was amazing. Will 100% be back to eat here again next time we hit the casino!!

I’ve had a couple of dishes here and the food is good compared to the other food they have at the food court. That’s probably why it’s so popular. On busy days there is usually a line for take out and dine-in . The staff is always so nice and attentive.

the Mongolian beef is a massive plate of onions & scallions as pictured below. service is no good, they don’t refill your drinks or get you new ones… considering it’s a casino i’d figure they’d want to make more $$$. save your time and eat somewhere else
