I used to go to this spot when I was a Lil deer hunter and our base camp was a couple doors to the east. The impression as a “40+ year old dive bar enthusiast” [lol] was that the tender was great and charming, the setting is pretty iconic, with the dollars everywhere. The atmosphere is very interesting. The whole place is covered with dollar bills. In Minnesota we would definitely add it to the list of dive bars.

Came in with a group during the deer gun hunting session and had my 14 year old son with me also. Got denied service even though my son wasn’t going to be drinking. Was looking forward to stopping there and was very disappointed when we couldn’t stay. Was the only bar that denied us that weekend.

Stopped by after a hike for refreshments. Had their Bloody Mary and OMG! One of the best I have ever had! This place had a fun vibe. They say money doesn’t grow on trees but if you’re hanging around at The Little Jug you will see money hanging all over the ceiling and walls.

Great local hangout. Ice cold beer out of an old ice cream freezer served by a friendly and attentive bartender. Constant flow of people in and out all having a great time playing cards, tickets, and shooting the bull. Looked like Jameson’s was the kicker of choice so beware! Will be making this a stop whenever we’re in town.

You have to see this place to believe it. It is very small, with dollar bills stapled all over the ceiling and walls. They have live music every night and there is a deck if you want to sit outside. Everyone is friendly and there is a good time for all .
