Ambiance (4/5): The establishment is small with a few tables and was fairly empty on Saturday around 7p but by 8, it was fully seated! Reservation recommended. The decorations was minimalistic/cute and seating was a bit tight. Low to moderate noise level (a little noisier as there was a party of 8 dining this night). Despite having double doors, the draft air made it super cold during our stay.
Service (4/5): The service was a bit tough with only one wait staff but we got what we needed when asked.
Fried Pork Buns (5/5) – The mini fried buns were almost like soup dumplings as they were filled with some broth on the bite. The exterior was crunchy and was very flavorful.
Pra-Rahm (4/5) – peanut sauce, deep fried meat. There a little bit of breading to the meat so it soaked up the sauce but wasn’t exactly crunchy or anything. It gave it an interesting texture but the meat itself was tender. While it tasted good, I wouldn’t order it again and order something else to try next time.
Drunken Noodle (5/5) – I was able to ask them to replace the thin noodles with the broad noodles and they obliged! It was very tasty and had lots of flavor.
Massaman Curry (5/5) – This was also very flavorful.
All in all, delicious dishes!

My husband and I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and the food was wonderful. I loved how the place is decorated in a simple, peaceful and inviting way. I know that I am going to enjoy my left overs tonight. Yes, I will share. All the best.

My boyfriend and I were incredibly impressed with this cute little place we stumbled upon. We ordered the fried dumplings which exploded in my mouth and the curry puffs which were so good we had to rock paper scissors for the last one. I ordered the drunken noodle and my boyfriend ordered the massuman curry – SOO GOOOD. The service was great, my water always full and the food came out pretty quickly. 10/10 no notes

Lovely eatery serving authentic, tasty Thai food in a simple, no-frills space. I stumbled into Little Basil with a friend for a quick, casual Friday dinner after getting off my train from DC. It seemed quite unassuming from the outside, tucked into a little side street with minimal signage and a pretty limited flow of people (seems like most of their business comes from pick-up and delivery vs. folks dining in), but it was phenomenal. The service was super efficient and friendly, and we were in and out of Little Basil within about an hour and a half, largely extended just because my friend and I enjoyed yapping away.

The menu included most of the American Thai restaurant classics, and everything was prepared remarkably well. I had their pad see ew with tofu, which was fantastic; the noodles had a slight chew and really soaked up the sauce, and the tofu was quite flavorful. The tofu did seem a bit cold compared to the rest of the dish and the sauce was a little sweeter than I was accustomed to, but it was still a very tasty start to my NYC trip.

Been to so many Thai places in the city and this was one is hits home! Very tasty vegan dishes. The massaman curry had roasted peanuts – amazing! And drunken noodles had a great flavor. Hard to find noodles dishes with robust flavor. Will be back!

Wonderful little Thai food restaurant with a fantastic lunch special in the heart of Manhattan. Enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls and Thai salad appetizers – great portion sizes! For the main course, I ordered their chicken pad see-ew. It was flavorful; however, the Chinese broccoli with soy sauce had a tangy taste that didn’t compliment the pad see-ew. Overall, recommended.
