We had issues with the service about 2 years ago. Decided to give it another try today… walked in at 10:55 am, put our name it to be seated and was told about 10 minutes as they were just getting ready to seat a large group. No problem. Saw a friend, had a quick chat and noticed 2 tables in the front room to the left were open. We are are 2 people so easily sat at a 4 top. Waited about 5-6 minutes after our chat and no one – not even the large group that was about to be sat – had been sat. I looked in the other side of the front, a 4 top and a booth are open. The back room has 2 tables with customers and the rest completely empty. We left. If you can’t be bothered to seat small groups at tables that clearly can’t be used for a large group then you clearly don’t need my money.

I used to come to this place religiously, but I had enough experiences with extremely rude servers that it kind of fell off my radar. It always cracks me up when guests who visit me ask about going here, since I used to be a regular. Depending on who’s asking, I sometimes will capitulate, but for the most part I say “no, there are too many other good options.”

There are two or three servers that I think are absolutely lovely and spectacular, but of course it’s a crapshoot as to whether you’re going to get one of them, or one of the heinous ones.

I do hate to say this, but I do find that I – as a fair-skinned yet obviously mixed-race person – receive better and friendlier service when I come with a white lady on my arm than when I am there by myself. (Or God forbid I bring a crew of darker-complected associates!) Just an observation. I harbor no particular grudge in this arena as some do – that is to say, I’m not looking for occasions to accuse people of discriminatory behavior (overt or subtle.) But my well-developed sixth sense for these things has often given me a sour vibe at this place. And especially because of how lovely some of the staff are, I’m truly sorry to say this, but it is the truth – or at least my truth.

But to the food: delightful homemade-tasting baked goods, an abundance of comfort staples – covering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as sometimes clever and tasty desserts. Extremely large portions – plan to take some home.

I’m sad I don’t feel comfortable coming here more often.

I saw a post about this place and the food looked good, so we decided to drive up and give it a try. When we arrived we stood in front of the sign that said “please wait to be seated.” Multiple workers walked passed the line of people waiting with no acknowledgment. We waited 15 minutes with not a single interaction from any of the staff continuously walking by. There were plenty of empty tables. Not even a welcome or we will be right with you. So we left and won’t return because of the awful customer service.

Everything was so well prepared, and the staff was very friendly and relaxed. We had the steak & eggs platter and a taco omelette, the pièce de résistance would have to be the steak though. We brought a few things home from the bakery to try, but we both look forward to returning.

What an great little gem we stumbled upon on our way back to NY from our honeymoon in NJ. The food was delicious, the coffee was delicious and they have a small crafts area in the back of all local items to purchase. Loved it. The toasted biscuit with honey was amazing.

This was a nice, homey restaurant. The food tastes fresh. I adored the Fall decor that was up on the walls, and if we were here for longer then I would have loved to try their baked apples.

My raspberry and lemon French toast was sweet and tart. It was a delicious combination.

The restrooms and restaurant were clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and boisterous. This lively morning atmosphere is perfect to start your day.

The only negative was that service was a bit slow, however, the nice atmosphere and cheeriness make up for that. This is a great place to try when you’re not in a rush and looking to have a relaxed breakfast.

I own a small business. I know how important it is to get good reviews. When I find a place like this, I want to make sure it is shared. What a neat little place. Homey, comfortable, clean, and delicious! You can tell they take pride in their business. The food was amazing. I had homade cornbeef hash (not from a can) and homefries with peppers and onions. Yummy! I had to take half home because the portions were huge. I included pictures of all the homemade candy and pastries. As well as the hand made crafts available for sale. If you are in the area, it is definitely a place to check out! Thank you, guys, for a delicious meal and awesome service!

I struggled over the rating – would have been 4.5 If I had that option. Most of the staff were very friendly and the vibe/atmosphere was really nice. The bakery items up front looked delicious (didn’t indulge since this was breakfast:-). I tasted my husband’s corned beef hash and it was amazing – like they must have cooked the corned beef and made the hash from it – so fresh.

I had cinnamon raisin french toast and thought it was incredibly dry. I thought the menu said it came with cinnamon butter, but I was told it did not – looked at the menu again on the way out and still think it should have, but maybe they meant that it’s just grilled in cinnamon butter. Regardless, it was hard to eat and that was a bummer since it was a “calorie splurge” for me.

Next time I’d get the corned beef – because I definitely want to go back.

Breakfast was very good and a reasonable price. The menu is quite extensive, offering something for everyone. Unfortunately the atmosphere was not very pleasant as the table next to me had several load, screaming children that their parents clearly don’t know how to control their offspring!! Not the fault of Glenburn’s but did make for an unpleasant meal. Service, unfortunately I have to say was NOT great. The hostess that sat me was very friendly & accommodating, but it stopped there. My waitress seemed bothered to have to take my order & never saw her again after that. Sat there for nearly 20 minutes after I finished my meal before someone else decided to bring me my check & again the attitude was that it was an inconvenience for her to have to bring it. Won’t be back, unfortunately because the food was very good.
