This was possibly the best casual restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I ordered rib eye, medium, baked potato and homemade onion rings. Steak cooked to perfection!! How often does that happen? From ordering to serving was literally 22 minutes. Server was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was lively. We did not order adult beverages.

A really great seaside vibe. Big outside patio area that looks like they have live music on occasion. We had raw oysters which were fabulous, the captains platter-haddock was so much food. It was piled up with scallops, shrimp, clam stripes, fries and coleslaw slaw. This platter was delicious, the coleslaw wasnt great but edible. My hubby had the cold in mayo lobster roll with fries. It was good, but pretty expensive and nothing special.

Wife and I ate dinner there. It was very tasty. The pretzel app had a yummy dip and the pretzels were perfect. My grilled chicken sandwich was very good and my wife’s haddock was good. McKenzie, our server was effective and quick and handled our couple of special requests nicely.

I had the roast beef sandwich with green beans. This super messy sandwich was excellent!! My husband had the chicken parm. He loved the sweet red sauce. It came with very little sauce, but the waitress brought more upon request. Love this place.

After we were seated, our server was right there to take our drink order and then gave us ample time to look over the menu, which was your typical American restaurant fare.
My wife ordered the Ribeye steak, I ordered the fried seafood platter that consisted of, haddock, whole belly clams, shrimp, and scallops, with homemade onion rings in lew of the fries.
According to my wife, her steak was cooked to perfection and had a great flavor. My seafood platter was delicious, and each item was perfectly fried. The onion rings, unlike most eateries, were expertly breaded, the crispy breading adhered to the onion slices, not falling off every time you pick one up. If you live, visit, or even pass through Wells Maine, I highly recommend you stop in at Litchfield’s Bar and Grill for some great food!

We sat in the timber frame “patio.” It was as cool and comfortable. Lots of tvs with Saturday congestion football games. There were four other groups in the timber frame building and the noise was surprising okay evening though everyone was talking. The fried scallops were perfection and they prep their own chowder and chicken tenders. Highly recommend.

We are in the new part of the restaurant, looks like an outdoor part. It was enclosed, warm, and cozy. Only issue was 2 big black ant that kept coming on the table.
Food was delicious. Onion rings best I have had in a long time. Tips were amazing!
Ribeye was just as good.

I am so thankful we did! We chose to sit outside..the seating area was beautiful!
Our server was absolutely fantastic. She was right ontop of things, and personable, she’s a unicorn! (I wish I could remember her name ) my hubby order steak tips, my mom ordered a sandwich with turkey, and I had the 3 combo seafood. It was so delicious! The meals also had full plates, and I brought quite a bit home. I was shocked at the servings and prices. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for good seafood, or steak! we will defd be making the trip again!

Went for Dinner on our last day in Wells. Food was really good we had the Bottle Caps (which is banana peppers fried served with cajun ranch dressing). My daughter had the Mac and Cheese with added bacon. I had the Captain’s Platter, it was a very good portion and the seafood in it was so fresh and good. We also meet the magician GOGO that does magic a couple of nights a week I got him to do a magic trick for me even though he was just there that day to help around the restaurant. One of my new favorite places when staying in Wells.

The pizza is must and definitely one of the best in the area. Thin crust and delicious. We oreeia cheese pizza and a half cheese half hamburger meat.
We also got buffalo wings and the two combo fried platter with whole clams, scallops, and half fried with half onion rings.
Both the wings and fried platter was average and good for what we needed.
The outdoor seating with a tent is a nice touch. We sat around 730pm and no bugs out at all.
The service was friendly and attentive.
I would go back and try the sandwiches. The menu selection looks great.
