Sometimes some of the best spots are close to home and right under your nose and it takes a recommendation from your barber to finally bring you there. That is exactly what happened at this spot, a hidden gem located right off a jug handle on Route 37. Right from our first visit, we were greeted with a friendly smile from the owner, Lisa and led right into the cozy, beautifully decorated dining area by one her young waitresses who was also so sweet and friendly. We were there during their early bird specials which is such a great deal and includes soup, salad and an entree served with your choice of pasta. The soup was Lentil Soup which was authentic and delicious. The garden salad was fresh and also very good. For my entree I went with the Shrimp Parmigiana with a penne pasta on the side. This was excellent, five extra large shrimp served in a light sauce and covered with parmigiana cheese. My wife had the Chicken French Style, the chicken was pounded thin, fried perfectly and served in a wonderful Francese sauce over penne pasta, so delicious. I’d be remiss if I forgot to mention the fresh bread made in house as well as some complimentary garlic knots which were maybe the best we ever had. They also have a great selection of desserts which we couldn’t pass up. Tried the Caramel Vanilla Cake which was just a perfect ending to a perfect meal. This is such a great spot, we felt right at home on our first visit, the food is great, the owner is wonderful and since it is so close to home, we are sure to be here quite frequently.

The pizza was delicious, and the salad was super fresh and tasty. Great food and great atmosphere. I wish I lived closer. I will definitely stop by whenever I I’m in the area.

I have been a regular customer of Lisa’s for quite sometime and as of lately the experience has been diminishing. Today I brought along my cancer stricken father and younger brother for what I thought was going to be a fine dining experience only to receive lackluster service and worse of all, arriving home with my to go order after driving 1hr 20 mins to find out that the shrimp alfredo my wife had been craving was everything except. I received spaghetti in alfredo sauce and undercooked shrimp drowned in a red sauce that was definitely was not alfredo (see picture). I then called to complain to the manager about the mistake only to be told that the cashier “pressed the wrong button,” and was offered no resolution. When I finally asked for a resolution, I was placed on hold, and offered 50% off my next dish, with no way to guarantee that would be upheld. When I asked if my name or number was needed, the manager stated “no I’ll remember you.” I retorted with you might not be there how may I redeem it in your absence and the reply I received was “don’t worry about it.” The level of disrespect for a twice a week customer is unsatisfactory in my opinion and regardless of my previous good experiences, I will no longer be patronizing this establishment due to disrespect. Shameful.

I had to write a review, as this is a hidden and unexpected gem! Went for my Dad’s birthday last night and every meal was excellent. Veal marsala, chicken piccata and the star of the show, Veal Osso Buco. This is not normally the type of restaurant that serves it or I would even order it, but it was perfect. The meat fell off the bone, the sauce was silky and full of mushrooms and the serving size left enough for my lunch today.

Our server was attentive and helpful, she didn’t rush us and knew the menu well. The front counter staff were very welcoming upon arrival and so personable upon leaving. I highly recommend a dinner here – order the Osso Buco if they have it!

It’s now normal to feel this unwelcome as a paying customer, but this place manages it effortlessly. The female owner’s attitude is rude, dismissive, and clearly trickles down to the rest of the operation. Being treated poorly seems to be standard practice here. The food is forgettable at best, awful at worst, and nowhere near good enough to justify the experience. Save your money and your patience. Bring on the robots who will be nicer and more accommodating. came here ready to write a bad review, and then realized I’m far from the only one. The attitude from ownership sets the tone, and it’s a bad one. Paying customers are treated like an inconvenience instead of guests, and that behavior seems completely normal here. The food doesn’t help — it’s bad at best and absolutely not worth the experience. Plenty of better options out there. Honestly, bring on the robots.

I was passing through NJ and decided to stay at the Clarion Hotel. Searched online and found Lisa’s Cucina was located across from the hotel and went there for an early dinner. Nice cozy atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.
Ordered chicken parm dinner and it came with garlic knots, salad and pasta. I truly enjoyed it from the first bite the chicken was soft, moist and delicious. Great garlic know too, BTW.

Waitress was very pleasant and placed my order promptly. When I needed to refill my drink she got it immediately. If I ever pass through (even if not staying over) I definitely will go a bit out of my way to dine there again.

We came into town on business, and after a 12 hr travel day, the last thing we wanted was canned fare from a chain. Lisa’s was recommended by hotel staff, and it was great!
2 of the 3 of us have eaten plenty of Jersey and Pa food, and this was really good! From the greating when we arrived, the awesome waitress with a ton of patience, and the food, this was a great experience! Great job, Y’all!!

We had a 85th birthday dinner/party for my mom. Can’t say enough about how everyone enjoyed the food. They are still raving about the appetizers. The staff really made sure that every detail was taken care of. The service was exceptional and the vibe of the restaurant was just perfect for my big Italian family. We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for making my mom’s birthday extra special!

The female owner (with black hair) is rude, never appreciative of the paying customers who keep her in business & has a bad attitude. I can understand if the food was out of this world, but its mediocre at best. I’ve finally made the decision to not go to this pizzeria anymore. I’ll take my business elsewhere, where other owners are much more gracious and appreciate the patronage.. It’s too bad, bc her husband is much more nice & welcoming. But they lost a customer.

This is a very warm and pleasant little Italian restaurant. Very much a family feel.
The dishes here are quite authentic and reasonably priced. It’s byob, so grab your favorite red or white and come on down for some delicious meals.
The front looks like a typical Pizza joint, but the back has that warm Italian feel and nice decorations. You won’t feel rushed, you’ll feel taken care of as if you’re visiting your Italian grandmother!
