What a hidden delight! This place is a MUST if you’re in the area or just passing through. I ordered the fried chicken bites basket, which came with two sides. The white cheddar mac and cheese was phenomenal and the white beans had incredible flavor. The fries and gator bites were also delicious! If I ever find myself back in Giles county, I will be sure to stop by and get this again. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and delicious food!

First time visit today and will definitely be back. Service was friendly and the food was great. I had the 1/2 catfish po-boy and a side of the crawfish étouffée. I love étouffée and was really impressed with Lirette’s. Just right on all fronts.

Overpriced for portions and menu says it includes items it does not.
$20 for the large jambalaya with chicken and sausage and couldn’t find chicken or sausage to speak of. Was SO dry.

$45 for 3 TINY crab legs, 5 greatly overcooked shrimp and then to charge for a side of sauce to accommodate it (despite the menu saying its included)
Neither included bread.

Small side of green beans almost $6.

Just really disappointed as it came recommended to us, it was a lot of money for underwhelming flavors and small portions and lots of “upcharges” that just felt like being taken advantage of.

I really wanted to love this place and brag on them, but the deceptive pricing and underwhelming portions and flavor just weren’t it.

What a great gem, a little drive off interstate 65, but we’ll worth the drive, the corn bisque was so good I had it over my fried catfish, had to talk myself out of getting more swamp bread, and like Ms Renee said if you leave hungry it ain’t her fault , we will definitely be traveling back for more delicious meals.

It was my first time going to Lorette’s. I got a daily special with sausage jambalaya, catfish nuggets, onion straws, and swamp bread. It was all good. The catfish nuggets were soft and fresh. Will definitely be going back again.

Took my wife and grandson here for crab legs, catfish nuggets, and boiled shrimp & fixin’s. All of our meals were excellent! We will definitely be back.

Was excited about this place. My father in law told me it was real good, so I went. I placed my order. I chose to get the catfish basket and fries and pinto beans and a 1/2 and 1/2 tea. If you are looking to get waited on it’s more like fast food, you place your order at the counter and pre pay. Tip is optional. My general rule of thumb is, if I stand up and order I don’t tip. But today I did 15%. For my catfish basket it was 16.00 dollars. Now for that 16 bucks, I got 1 fish fillet an order of fries and Jambalaya which was supposed to be pinto beans. Now mind you, the 1 fillet I got didn’t come off of a 4 or 5 lbs catfish it was more like 2lb. Which when I forked into it all the cornmeal came off. Now for the first bite, well the fish was over cooked by about 3 to 4 minutes. When I ordered the catfish basket I expected to at least get 2 pcs of fish. For the price I paid. Now the fries, well it’s a French fries. The pinto beans I ordered was in a cup that was about an 1” deep, with jambalaya 1/2” to 3/4” full. Now being Cajun restaurant , I had high hopes. Was very disappointed. Now for some Cooking tips, don’t dredge fresh water fish in egg or milk then put it in the flour or corn meal just use your dry mix I use both. Pro tip don’t forget to season your fish and your flour cornmeal mix. Make sure your grease is 350 degrees when you give your fish a bath, about 3 to 4 minutes each side or until it floats and golden brown. So if you look at the pictures not only can I fill the boat with fish, I can cook them too. Keep in mind this is my personal opinion. Well let’s just say I never have left overs. For my seasoning I use cajun two step. Have a blessed day 6/9/25.

We drive a 45 minutes to get down there to eat. I have not had a bad item yet. I am a basic red beans and rice person, but the catfish nuggets are cooked to perfection.

Love the setup and the people make you feel like family. And the food is awesome. Don’t skip the shrimp corn chowder. Yum!!! Other great dishes we ate… gumbo, fried shrimp, loaded baked potato with shrimp on top. All very good. Everybody has got to go and eat here.

My second trip and service is excellent. My wife loves catfish and said it was ok but not worth the drive for us. The shrimp and grits was good but the corn and shrimp bisque was excellent and very much worth the drive. I prefer more spice but my wife does not but we both thought it was great. We will be back!
