Lingonberry has truly mastered the pastry, coffee, and sandwich sides of a café. They offer rotating menu items with unique, creative, and consistently delicious options.
Every time I visit, there are new freshly made pastries—things like ube cheesecake, olive oil orange cake, or classic lemon, banana, and almond sweet breads.
The coffee and beverage options are fun and wide-ranging, and the sandwiches fully stand on their own. Each sandwich is delicious and customizable, with a slight Scandinavian tinge. The staff are also wonderful—they offer great recommendations and are always courteous and thoughtful in their service.
It’s my favorite place to bring friends who are visiting or to meet someone for a quick sandwich.
This is a very popular spot for good reason, but that also means parking can be tricky and there may be a bit of a wait. I recommend arriving earlier than you expect and not planning on guaranteed seating. The menu is also a bit pricey, with some pastries approaching $10, and sandwiches ringing in just under or at $20 which can feel a little steep.
My personal favorite parts of Lingonberry: the selection of fun Scandinavian and European candies and treats, the pink heart-shaped straws, and the ever-changing variety of pastries.
Take your family here, take your friends here, and take yourself here. Everyone will be happy.
Happy fika!
got the BLT delicious with Japanese mayo type of sauce. 16$ +
*Downfall: people in there on a Saturday treating this place like their office and just on their laptops not eating with a finished coffee. so after waiting 20 minutes and eyeing tables, people don’t care to move along and work somewhere else.
20-30min passed still was not any space indoor or outdoors. the guy who delivered our drink said that we couldn’t sit in front the other restaurant so we didn’t have a choice.
We ate in the car at before moving on to a more spacious cafe downtown and got our coffees there.
2nd Visit (4th and 5th photo) is the reason why i had to bump it down to 2 stars.
picked up breakfast on my way to work on a Thursday morning and it was pretty terrible. It was the croissant. I had to throw it out because I didn’t know if I was eating peices of plastic with what seemed like a whole avocado (maybe they did that on purpose) Im sure the plastic was the egg white probably overcooked.
I live 3 min from this place and Ive heard friends from wellington who drive 45min to get to this place. To me, it’s Not worth 45 minutes so far. I’ll give it two more chances. skip breakfast though.
Interior design needs updating. Themes are scattered. A bit cluttered and dense.
The display shelving on the left have an array of asian snacks…
If you’re looking for something fresh, delicious, and high quality, look no further than Lingonberry. My go-to is the strawberry iced latte with a slice of their banana bread—pure perfection.
And if you’re hungry, their fresh sourdough or croissant sandos are absolutely worth it. ✨
