Lineage delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences of our time in Maui. We visited twice during our week here, which gave us the chance to explore a broad cross-section of the menu. Standouts included the fried chicken, steak, wagyu hand rolls, lobster noodles, and the ahi poke with fried spam. Each dish reflected careful technique and a clear point of view.

What impressed us most was the precision of the flavors. Nothing felt diluted or toned down for tourist expectations. The kitchen presents a confident fusion of Japanese, local Hawaiian, Filipino, and Southeast Asian influences, with each component contributing structure rather than novelty. The result is food that feels deliberate and grounded rather than trendy.

Service was equally strong. The staff were prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Courses arrived at a well-judged pace, avoiding the overly slow, drawn-out timing we experienced at some other Maui restaurants. The beverage program is quite extensive with non-alcoholic options that were thoughtful and well executed.

Overall, Lineage stands out for its clarity of vision, disciplined execution, and respect for the culinary traditions it draws from. It is a restaurant we would return to without hesitation and confidently recommend to anyone seeking a serious, flavor-driven dining experience in Maui.

One of my favorite meals we ate in Maui! Everything here was flavorful, well-executed, and just delicious. We ordered the Korean fried chicken (we almost didn’t get this one because we do eat Korean fried chicken kind of a lot…but we’re so happy we got it! Totally worth it, even if you eat Korean fried chicken all the time) and the garlic szechuan noodles, and those two dishes were fantastic on their own but even better when eaten together! The cocktails were also great.

Celebrated my birthday at Lineage, and it was such a nice experience! My favorite dish of the night was the Lobster Cantonese so flavorful and definitely a must-try. The Korean chicken is a great option for families since the portion is big. I expected the chicken to be juicy, but it was actually a bit dry and the taste was just okay. The wagyu was a little on the fatty side, but still good overall.

For dessert, the coconut panna cotta was okay, but they surprised me with a free sorbet for my birthday and I actually liked that even more!

The service was also amazing the guy who helped us was really nice, super helpful, and explained all the dishes really well.

Overall, a good spot to celebrate a special occasion! ️

Two of us dined at Lineage in Wailea for an evening out—the innovative Asian-Hawaiian fusion menu shone as a total standout, with impeccable 5-star service from April, who was friendly, helpful, and truly elevated the meal despite the okay outdoor patio lacking special views (though there’s an indoor dining area we didn’t explore).

We started with the Aji Tamago deviled eggs, which were exceptional and bursting with flavor. The Korean fried chicken was crispy perfection (pro tip: let them cut it for you at the table—it’s a big help and lets you dive right in), paired brilliantly with Garlic Szechuan Noodles and smashed cucumbers; the 8 oz. Wagyu New York Strip was incredibly rich and flavorful, so much so that the accompanying sauce wasn’t even necessary. Drinks were top-notch and refreshing.

Totally worth the price for a memorable meal—5/5 across food and service; reservations essential, a must-visit, and we’d return in a heartbeat!

Best dining experience I had in a long time, likely in all of 2025. Everything was superb – food, service, vibe. We had the cauliflower, garlic noodles, and birds nest, with the pandan bread pudding and sorbet for dessert. Every single dish was amazing, an explosion of flavor. We were savoring each bite. My pandan cocktail was 10/10.

Drew, our waiter, was super friendly and made the night special.

And the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, and the music isn’t too loud.

This is now a must visit whenever I am on Maui. We will plan our trip around when they are open.

My friends and I came to LINEAGE ready to explore the menu, and we ended up trying a little bit of everything—food, cocktails, you name it. Every dish was packed with bold, creative flavors that really highlight Chef Eman Eng’s Asian-American, Maui-inspired style. You can tell the kitchen cares about local ingredients and honoring the roots of the cuisine.

The ambiance is lively but relaxed, perfect for hanging out and “talk story” over shared plates. Service was warm, friendly, and genuinely made us feel like guests in someone’s home. It’s the kind of place where the energy, the food, and the hospitality all just click.

If you’re looking for a spot that delivers great flavors, fun drinks, and a welcoming vibe that embodies true aloha, LINEAGE is absolutely worth a visit. We had an awesome time and will definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu!

We got lucky and snagged a reservation for 2 bar seats the day before. So glad we did. This was one of my favorite meals in Maui. We got the furikake deviled eggs, Korean fried chicken, and the cauliflower, as well as the milk chocolate miso ice cream for dessert, all excellent and perfectly executed. Would love to come back to try more dishes.

The Cantonese lobster noodles were by far one of the best entrees we have ever had… anywhere! We had no idea what to expect after reading the other reviews, but wow! The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the flavor was addicting. Hard to describe besides we just kept going back for more bites. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken and it was HUGE lol we couldn’t finish it all. The gochujang was nice. Chicken was slightly dry, but really can’t complain. Still a fantastic meal!

Pricey but so worth it. I visited over two months ago and still frequently think about the lobster noodles. I would kill to have it again. The service was amazing and we felt very cared for the entire time. Be warned, the Korean chicken is a very generous portion and it was far too much for my husband and I to eat alongside the other dishes. But it made for delicious leftovers with a side of rice and the lobster noodles sauce the next day. Be sure to book a spot.

Very friendly staff, solid family style menu, very tasty drinks, and impeccable deserts. Staff is very friendly AND knowledgeable.
Food is served family style and feels somewhat casual in an upscale environment. Highly recommend Pandan cocktail and desert, as well as garlic noodles and smashed cucumber pickles as a side.
