Social Profile:

In the Heart of Downtown North Little Rock, Arkansas lies the charming and inviting Lindsey’s Hospitality House. A family-owned and operated business, it was originally founded in 1989 by the D.L. Lindsey Sr. and his wife Irma, who also started the world-famous Lindsey’s Bar-B-Q back in 1956. Today, the torch has been passed on to D.L.’s son, Donnie II, and his wife, Eleanor. What started as a humble lunch spot serving up delicious home cooking and Bar-B-Q has now blossomed into a full-blown dining destination. With a seating capacity of 70-80 guests, the lunch crowd is always welcome. So whether you’re in the mood for some lip-smacking Bar-B-Q or a hearty home-cooked meal, Lindsey’s Hospitality House has got everything you need!

I highly recommend this restaurant and will scream it from the rooftops!

The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and had great customer service. Every single customer that came in was greeted and a conversation was initiated. Donnie was amazing and very personable.

It was great to see leadership from the front, working side by side with the team. You can tell upon entering how much this restaurant and the community is cared for and valued by the owners.

The food was amazing as well, I enjoyed every single bite. I ordered a pork sandwich, slaw and a lemon pie. The portions were perfect, everything had great flavor and the barbecue sauce was so delicious that I unashamedly licked my plate clean.

I stopped in at Lindsey’s after a coworker and I checked google for a nice place to have lunch while visiting from St Louis. To my surprise, we were greeted by two individuals with warm smiles and plenty of recommendations. Turns out, Donnie is actually one of the owners! Everything was delicious, the establishment was very clean, and the young lady who helped us in the dining room is such a sweetheart as well. I would absolutely recommend trying this establishment.

We ate at Lindsey’s Hospitality House for lunch yesterday and the visit felt like a warm hug. I had the fried catfish and it was delectable & the fried okra reminded me of what my grandpa used to make. The hosts were welcoming and attentive. The walls are covered with pictures of family & community members. The environment was relaxed yet obviously cared about deeply. We were traveling through from Kansas and felt very much like we were as welcomed as any locals. I hope we’re able to stop by again.

The service itself was on time, but the food could have been better. My department asked for your team to cater our Thanksgiving party, and while we had a great experience last year, this year fell short of our expectations.

Most of the dishes arrived cold, and many people had to microwave their food to heat it up. The greens were overly sweet, and the green beans were also sweet, which no one seemed to enjoy. The macaroni and cheese looked soupy, and many of us assumed it would have been baked rather than served in a watery cheese sauce. The black-eyed peas were under-seasoned and still a bit hard.

The candied yams were very good, and we had no complaints about them. However, the turkey and ham were both quite dry. The dressing tasted better when paired with the gravy or cranberry sauce. Lastly, the rolls had no flavor, and most people didn’t eat them.

We wanted to share this feedback to let people know that the food was good when we ordered last year we had no complaints but this year was definitely different and we may choose a different path next year.

Ordered 2 meals, beef and catfish, with side dishes: fried okra, steamed cabbage, onion rings and potatoe salad…great food, awesome service & wonderful people. Hope to taste their fried chicken one day. Compliment to the chef. (No picture with food, we simply ate it as we received, take home the apple pie and sweet potato pie, we are so full)

I have to be honest. The customer service is always Top tier, but I felt cheated by the amount of food I got for $20. The chopped beef sandwich was good, but I did expect a bigger portion. Didn’t really care for the Mac & cheese either. Hey, I understand that things cost, so if its working for them bravo.

For starters, I am a big soul food lovers and am always on the hunt for great SOUL FOOD!! This place is it!! They are a hidden gem!!! The food was amazing, great flavor, nice portions, and nice presentation! Not to mention all of the staff were phenomenal with our service! We ordered beef dinner plate, and smothered porkchops. They were both cooked to absolute perfection!! From now on, we will always stop by here as we pass through from Texas to Chicago, this will be our new tradition.

Locally owned! Owners were great hosts! Food was amazing, especially the ribs! Being from NC we are high and mighty about our BBQ, and Lindsey’s did not disappoint! Their house made sauce was fabulous and so were the home style sides. A must eat in Little Rock!

For me, the best BBQ in a 20 min radius from Metro-area Little Rock I’ve found to date.

Donnie, the owner has taken on the business from his father, established in 1956, and seems to be a family run operation.

All of this to say, without even having tried the ribs! I would characterize the barbecue flavor as St. Louis style with a little bit of Texas spiciness. The barbecue meats aren’t anything extravagant; but are well and simply done pork or beef slathered with the barbecue sauce. The meats were fresh and moist, fried okra was excellent and boiled cabbage was good too.

I’m very excited to return and try the ribs and brisket; will give an updated review.
