This is legit home style cooking!

I tried the cubed steak with gravy, baked mac and cheese, and fried okra. The food came out fast, hot, and well portioned. I should also mention that it was DELICIOUS!!! The cubed steak and gravy had my mouth watering and I almost couldn’t wait for the next bite! Yum!!!

The staff was friendly. The place looked and felt clean. I don’t know what else anyone could ask for.

I can’t wait to come back and try something else!

I just ordered 3 plates of the chicken pot pie and I have got to say….
Its by far the worst chicken pot pie I ever had. The freezer version in grocery stores are wayyyy better. Bland, over cooked chicken, no veggies. $40 waisted…Safe to say we’ll never eat here again.

Really appreciate the Nice BIG Portions! No skimping here. Really likes the homemade home fries on the grill. (not deep fried)

I usually get breakfast here. And no watered down wimpy coffee! This is my third visit, I live up in Hickory. Ask for Megan . . . she’s awesome!

Food is always served burn lip hot. Pancakes are always bigger than the plate. The servers are pleasant and professional. I always leave stuffed at a very good price. The sanitation grade has never been below 100. Mom and Pops like this is why I have been on a franchise diet.

Was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my Tuesday special. Had Country Style Chicken Pie, with 2 sides and choice of bread. Had green beans and pickled beets. Everything was excellent. The pickled beets were served cold and I’d forgotten that fact, but thoroughly enjoyed them. Ice tea is extra.
If in the area again soon, I’ll be back.
I’d recommend.

We were very happy to find this place while visiting thanks to Google and Yelp reviews. We were seated immediately on a Sunday morning. The waitress was excellent – very responsive, friendly and gave us some great recommendations on the menu. I had the Hungry Jack which had an incredible amount of food – eggs, homemade potatoes with onions, country ham, grits and large pancake. I added a homemade biscuit. Wow! I made a egg and ham biscuit sandwich. Could not finish it all. Great pricing, plenty of coffee refills and awesome service. Would definitely eat here again when in the area. Highly recommended.

For breakfast, I like the French toast! For dinner, the Buffalo tenders or the cube steak is a good choice. Fresh breaded chicken tenders are good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.

I stopped in today for a late lunch. I had eaten breakfast here before & it was decent, so I wanted to see what they had to offer for lunch. I was greeted & promptly sat in a booth of my choosing. The servers were all very nice & mine was attentive. I ordered chicken fingers(fried) with collard greens, baked mac & cheese, & a biscuit. The chicken fingers were big & fresh from the fryer, yet so tough I had to rip them with my fingers. It was breast meat but not tender by any means. They were terrible, & I was completely disappointed. The collards were very bland & the baked mac & cheese was pretty good. The biscuit was probably better earlier that day but it was good enough after adding butter. I spent $17 for the worst fried chicken of any kind that I’ve ever had. Bummer.
