New to this type of cuisine. Went on Tuesday on a whim as I happened to be driving by. Ordered the Jollof Rice and was blown away at how good it was. The portion was far too big to finish on my own, so I shared the rest with my wife and kids – who all raved about it as well! Decided to go back today (Thursday) and order everyone their own meal. Everything was absolutely delicious! Big portions, diverse and complex flavors, yet a feeling of wholesomeness with each bite. We’re excited to try another assortment of meals very soon!

We decided to try something new for our date night so we stopped at Lims. The restaurant is well appointed, and staff were kind and welcoming.
If you have never tried African Cuisine, you have no idea what you are missing! The Jolof Rice Special with Chicken was packed full of unique flavors that complement each other perfectly. It does require a pallet that enjoys spice, but it is certainly not overwhelming. The delicious flavors cannot be compared to any other cuisine available in the region.
If you are in the mood to try something new, and appreciate service from staff that want to share their cuisine, Lims will not disappoint. The only thing I regret is not finding this restaurant sooner.

New to the area so I found this cute African restaurant online serving all the homemade foods I have been craving for.
Drove 30 minutes there but was well worth it. The owner greeted me warmly, made suggestions for my order and boy the food packaging was gorgeous, resort style folks.
Great worship music played in the background giving you a calming effect.
The food is tasty and flavorful. To the meat pie lady ( you made my day). I left a happy customer. It was worth the drive there and I will visit again.

This is not traditional Nigerian food, as it is cooked by a Ghanaian. The dish was bland, lacking the necessary spices, and the oil felt undercooked, leaving a greasy sensation and clumping in my mouth. The prices were high for the portion sizes, I paid $100 for a large serving of Egusi, the smaller container was $60,and there was very little meat; much of it consisted of bones. Additionally, the dish was overloaded with onions and peppers. However, the service was great. I’ll have to travel closer to the DMV from now on for proper Nigerian food.

I had the pleasure of trying fufu for the first time at LIMS African Restaurant, paired with their delicious palm nut soup. The combination was absolutely fantastic! The fufu was smooth and perfectly balanced, complementing the rich, flavorful soup. Even though the lamb had a bit more fat and bone than I anticipated, the taste was exceptional and truly authentic. The service was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. Overall, it was a satisfying and memorable meal, and I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to explore African cuisine.

I ordered the Tilapia with fried rice, and it was the best fish I’ve ever had. I loved the spicy sauce that came with it as well. I look forward to trying more of the menu items.

Honestly the food test good and it’s very sweet but the service and pontuality was very bad, I spend almost 1hr 30min for my food, while they told me it will take just 30min. Yet my order was not complete, I was so mad about it, not only for time wasted but also for incomplete order
