We decided to try this place on our way from St. Simon’s Island back home to NYC. We usually stop overnight in Rocky Mount, NC and go to our favorite Mexican place but last night we chose Lilyann’s and what a great choice it turned out to be. For starters, there was a live saxophonist playing smooth jazz that set the mood for a perfect delicious dinner vibe. We ordered the risotto as an appetizer and it was perfectly creamy with flavorful pecorino cheese. Then, we moved onto 2 wedge salads that I would argue was the best I’d ever had. The dressing was so tasty, I literally scaled the plate clean of it and ate every last bit of the salad and it’s accoutrements which included crispy bacon, and tiny battered and fried onions with charred cherry tomatoes and plenty of smoked blue cheese. Truly exquisite salad that I could eat every day of the week. Next came the mains. Probably the best and leanest short rib I’ve ever experienced in a red wine jus and accompanied by roasted rosemary potatoes and freshly sautéed haricots verts. The steak frites also came in at one of the best we’ve ever had and came with a mound of freshly fried truffle-Parmesan fries. We ended with a colossal piece of chocolate cake with a hot chocolate espresso pour over. We highly recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you Lillyann’s, for a wonderful experience!

This week a client mentioned, Lilyann’s Steakhouse in Rocky Mount, Nc. After today’s photo session – that’s exactly where I went.
The ambiance is a sigh of relief, loved seeing the waitresses not in the typical white button downs. They were in gingham button downs with a tie to match, hair slicked back & made eye contact with every conversation. (I mention that bc that seems like a thing from the past)
Dinner was impeccable, presentation was beautiful! Steak was cooked to perfection – wish it had a little more flavor, sides were delicious – Brussels were my favorite.
We grabbed some dessert to go.
Lydia was our server, who was wonderful & never let our glasses get less than half!
(No photo of the steak as it wasn’t whole when received)

We got the crab dip as a starter. It was good. Good portion and good taste. For sides we got the risotto and brussel sprouts. Both were really good. The brussel sprouts were a little sweeter than we would have liked but overall very good. We split the tomahawk between 2 people. We thought since it was a 32 ounce steal it would have been plenty plus leftovers. We were wrong. The steak was cooked perfectly. It might could have used a little.more seasoning but overall a good flavor. Wr thought for the price we should have gotten more meat but the 32 ounces must have included the bone as well. Maybe this is our misunderstanding as this is our first tomahawk. We felt it would have been better to get 2 separate steaks and would have gotten the same amount of meat for a less price.
Overall we were satisfied and would go back but will not get the tomahawk again.

Ambience was lovely. Management was helpful when we had some issues. Gave us a free dessert which is supposed to make up for it I guess. For $150 meal for two, I expected more. Server had too many tables and was slow in coming back, though very friendly. Steaks were cooked to temp, but salty… and never in all my world travels have I had a steak served cut and sliced on my plate. Honestly, for $60 ribeye, it should never be served sliced. Quality of beef was good, so one redeeming quality. Menu is ala carte, be aware. Salads were tasty. Oysters Rock were cold, oysters were not cut through for easy eating. Brussel sprouts and smashed potatoes were tasty, but again really salty. Wine list was on par. Not sure we will be back. For Rocky Mount, I am sure this is considered fancy.

It’s a cute steakhouse. Nice atmosphere. But my cousin and I felt segregated from the start. They seat certain people on one side and richer people on the other-so it seemed. And then when we did get seated, we sat for about 10-15min before even being greeted. The food was good for the most part. The salmon needs a sauce or something other than plain salmon but everything else was good. The cheesecake taste like pure cream cheese so we weren’t a fan. I got an old fashioned and the taste was great but the amount for the price was insane. The picture I added was my second drink and actually had just a tad bit more in it. Overall it was good-just felt judged from the start.

Lilyann’s is a fantastic restaurant in Rocky Mount with incredible food and drink selection. The dining area is upscale, with a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Although its a bit pricey, this is a go to spot if you want an excellent steak.
I highly recommend ordering the smoke old fashioned.

I’m not going to lie, there was a recent 1 star rating on here that made me not want to eat here. Lol thank goodness I saw creme brulee on the menu! This establishment was AMAZING!!! A diamond in the rough! Don’t let age fool you, if you managed to get Kaylee as your waitress, you will be taken care of! So professional and friendly! The maître d’ was also great at walking around and making sure everything was going great! The food was AMAZING as well. Who is this chef? I finished the whole tomahawk! I’m just sad that I could not finish my huge creme brulee there! I took it with me! And the bartender made a super ultra yummy extra dirty martini! The best part of my business trip really so sad to leave. Thank you so much staff for a wonderful experience! Worth every penny!!!

We had a birthday celebration here. We sat in a private dinning space which was very nice and we could see the food being cooked and prepared. The drink specials tasted great. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The risotto and mashed potatoes were so good we could not stop eating them. The desert we are still eating on as the chocolate cake is the size of a dinner plate. Overall a great upscale restaurant with attentive staff. Will be back to try the tomahawk!

First time here and was well pleased! Discovered it looking for somewhere to dine that was open late. The food was fabulous! The service was phenomenal! The environment was inviting! There’s even a lounge section and warm lighting. There is also dining available outdoors. What a gem of a restaurant for Rocky Mount! I am a new resident here and love that it’s growing!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the special card at the end. So nice to have this quality of service locally and not have to drive to Raleigh!
