If you love to eat ribs that are tuff like Shoe leather Full slab of ribs all in the garbage. Stay far away from this place. It must be new owners. Full slab of ribbs over half was all garbage over cooked and burnt hiding with extra sauce.

Really sad to say this place is not what it once was, and I probably won’t be back. I had a serious craving for their rib tips and made a 20 minute drive just to get them. Everybody knows you can’t have Little Porky’s rib tips without that signature sauce, so I ordered mine with extra sauce too.
Unfortunately, I trusted them and didn’t check the bag before leaving. It was stapled shut and I figured it would be fine. I drove the 20 minutes home, got back, and realized they gave me zero sauce. Nothing at all. The rib tips were completely dry. I called them, let them know I had driven 20 minutes just to get these tips, and they said they would make it right.
So I drove another 20 minutes back to the restaurant. After all that, they only handed me the sauce I originally paid for. No apology, and nothing else offered as a courtesy for wasting my time and gas.
In total, I spent about 80 minutes driving for rib tips that were cold by the time I finally got to eat them. Really disappointed in the lack of care and customer service.

Literally these people do not care for the customer. They are very skimp on the food portion, and I do not recommend anyone give them any business. Order a large order rib tip and it looks like a small. Then when I called to complain, I received no apology, no empathy whatsoever. All I got was “we weigh them out” not once did they think they maybe the bones give more weight than the actually meat. I can’t wait till this place closes down.

Beef ribs weren’t cooked enough for the rub to even set up on them. Super tough. Been eating here for years and never once called to complain. When I called there was no apology or complimentary order for next time. The only thing I was told was to bring them back and they would give me a refund. Being at work, 20 min away, this isn’t an option. $15 thrown in the trash but it won’t ever happen again.

Service was friendly and food was out quick. I got the beef brisket sandwich with mixed sauce. The sauce was mildy sweet and mostly hot, sort of overwhelming. The sandwich bread was mushy from the sauce and honestly the meat had no flavor.

So what has happened here? Where’s the bbq? Where’s the smoke? The brisket reminds me of sliced frozen steak from freezer section of your local grocery store. How are you not doing pulled pork? It is the easiest staple bbq item to prepare. Only reason your getting 2 stars is the service was quite good.

Tastiest beef rib ever! Used to go there often when I was doing PhD at U of I. Today visited after 12 years with my 9 yo. We both enjoyed it! There is no table service but I still like dining in. Friday night special: beef rib!

Updating review based on recent visit. Food has improved, I got the rack of ribs and the quality has definitely improved. The bbq sauce was excellent and love their steak fries.

Back again 8/29/25.
Prices are up. No point in calling in your order, it’s not going to be ready until afteryou get there.
Back today 9-5-24. Had the 1/2 rack of ribs. Very good, and tender. Mix Sauce was great. Sometimes it’s a little off. Not in a bad way. Just not always the same flavor or heat (again, not in a bad way). I noticed my ribs sauce was quite different from the cup on the side. I do understand that heated sauce will be different. But this isn’t the first time and I just wanted you to be aware and tell you don’t give up on eating there. It. is. good!
Wife wanted a brisket sandwich and enjoyed it. She said she should have gotten the sauce on the side, it sogged out the bread. She’ll know for next time.

This place was the licious and stuart and i loved it the lot. Stuart (my boyfriend) brought me to here because he was wanting some bar b then q which he loves of course. up on our arrivel i was greetid with the glowing sign of the porgy. and we each ordered a woah nelly which is a sausage with brisk it and bar b then q sauce. i ordered mine with miled sauce and stuarts was ordered with spicey sauce. After we’re done ordering we looked for a place to sit at and they had a lot of choices. you could sit outside but also inside. thanks to my influencer statis we got the best seat in the house.
i also got a pickle on the side. our woah nelleys were so the licious and we could not get enough.
my pickle was also the best one i’ve had and the barb then q sauce on both of the sausages were so good and yummy.
overall i give lil porgys a 10/10 because it was good and yeah
