I’m truly a bit blown away by how blessed Farmington, MN is to have a Lighthouse Kitchen & location in our neighborhood. Grace filled table and Chef Neal are the brains, heart, and talent behind this welcoming local dining hub.
The approach business with a community mindset that is evident in everything that they do. When I stopped in, I was immediately warmly greeted at the door. Clearly, they are ready and eager to provide an exceptional place to eat and meet others.
We happened to be big Shepherd’s Pie fans, and it is on the menu tonight. It is generously filled with meat and fresh vegetables in a delectable sauce. This is not just another recipe; it is tastefully seasoned and served with a generous, fresh lettuce salad. The emphasis is on healthy food – but no worries; there is dessert!
I’m eager to go back for a Friday evening meal and maybe taste some of their seafood dishes.
Also, as owners of the artisan Idioma Coffee Roastery, anticipate an exceptional cup of coffee!
Their story says so much about their purpose and passion: “through the journey of growth and service, we’ve found our identity in creating spaces where food fosters connection, kindness fuels community, and every meal tells a story of purpose.”
Service is exceptional. Parking is no problem; it is part of the strip mall parking lot. There is a wide handicap ramp going up to the front door. Everyone is welcome! I highly recommend you give this place and try and spend time enjoying the occasion.

The food is incredible! Some info you need to know is they have 1 set meal for the night when they are open, you can check their website for what the meals are for the week/days they are open. The meals are family style/ big platter for everyone to pick from. I got the Oceanside drink and it was super good. Love this place we will be going back for sure!

My husband and I stopped in for their Sunday brunch and cannot wait to go back!! The food and coffee were delicious!! Neal and Katherine are exceptional hosts!! Great service, food and atmosphere!! We will definitely be back for Sunday brunch again. We are planning on dining here some Wednesday for the community meal as well as on a Friday to try one of the dinners served. My husband, also, can’t wait to try one of Chef Neal’s burgers. So happy to have this wonderful restaurant in our community.

Had brunch at Lighthouse Cafe in Farmington with a couple of friends and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. The biscuits were the star of the show—honestly out of this world and some of the best we’ve ever had. Cozy little café, welcoming atmosphere, and great service. Lighthouse Cafe is definitely going on our regular rotation.

Came for dinner, stayed for drinks and dessert. Family friendly, welcoming, cozy ambience. We had a great date night with friends. Glad to finally have a restaurant worthy of uptown Minneapolis right here in town! I’ll be back; looking forward to sampling the rest of the chef-inspired menu!

We visited for the first time last night. Our whole group loved the experience. We’ll be back soon! Everything is served family style with generous portions – the menu rotates to a different theme. We came for smoked meats, but excited about some of the upcoming menus too.
