The coffee and juices were fresh, the service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy and homey. I would definitely come back!!
The salmon was hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and really care about every dish that leaves the kitchen.
If you’re in Sanibel and want amazing food with top-notch service, Lighthouse Cafe is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
My mom and I flew in from Ohio for a quick birthday trip to escape the cold and hopefully find a few cute restaurants to add to our “let’s come back” list. Unfortunately, this won’t be one of them. We had high hopes—the place is adorable, and the menu looked great.
I ordered the seafood griddle. When it came out, the presentation wasn’t very appealing. I know presentation isn’t everything, but after one bite it was clear something wasn’t right. I politely asked if I could order something else instead. The dish was taken away, and I ordered a replacement.
When the bill came, we noticed we had been charged for three entrées instead of the two we actually kept and ate. Not wanting to cause an issue, we just paid the full amount. I recently left the service industry myself, so I understand how important tips are, and we were planning to leave a 25% cash tip.
However, when we pressed “skip” on the card reader (because we planned to tip in cash), our server confronted us and asked how we intended to tip her since nothing was added to the card. I’ve never had that happen before, and it’s not something I would have ever done when I was serving.
What should have been about a $39 bill plus tip ended up being closer to $50 plus tip, along with an uncomfortable interaction from our seemingly entitled waitress.
Food was delicious. They have the best side potatoes (Lighthouse Potatoes) ever!
Only the parking was a little bit challenging and I assume you’ll have to wait a little longer on busy days if you want to sit inside.
