Celebrated my mothers birthday with about 12 people for brunch. I was able to make a reservation via email which was very seamless. We had an excellent time. Service was great as well as the food! I celebrated the holidays with my brother here. Found it randomly on TikTok and thought the vibe looked dope. We came for Roc Da Mic Sunday and we had a blast. The host, Shevy, and the DJ, Kyndal Marie, were excellent. They complemented each other well and worked the room with such great energy. The ambiance was nice! We ordered the shorty stack, BK’s Finest, and Eggs Benny from the BX.

I recently visited Life After for a collaboration (@eastcoastadri on IG & Tik Tok) and once I saw that they play Hip Hop and R&B all night and offer delicious food/drink options, it was a solid YES for me!
Life After is located inside The Metropolitan and as soon as you walk in you feel all the grown and sexy vibes. The space is stunning and I love that you’ll find photos of your favorite music artists on the walls. Now let me tell you what we ordered!
Cocktails: Shawn Carterita & Chronic Chai (both drinks were really good and the Chronic Chai was my favorite because it’s a mix of spiced chai, vanilla, matcha, baileys and tequila)
Apps/Entrees: I Like it Like That Arepas, All About the Oxtail, Welcome to Jamrock Chicken, Salmon Fried Rice (portions were great, food was delicious)
Dessert: the Bonita Apple Bombs & Sweet Life (please do not skip the Sweet Life. It’s a sweet potato cheesecake and it’s phenomenal)
While I was enjoying every bite and sip, I was also dancing in my seat. Between how good everything was and the playlist in the background, it was all around a great night. I can definitely see myself coming back here; i’m already planning to visit on Roc Da Mic Sunday brunch! Oh, and parking is super easy as there are free spaces available in the lot.

Had the opportunity to come here and do a collaboration for my food page @ambi_liciouss. Great food, great music, great service and a really fun vibe. The oxtail grilled cheese, arepas, crab cakes, jerk chicken and the salmon fried rice were all delicious, and the cocktails especially the espresso martini and the Drunk N Luv Lemonade were a hit. Loved the hip-hop theme, the artwork, and the free valet. Perfect spot for celebrations with actual good quality food!

Celebrated my birthday at Life After Restaurant and it was a perfect night! Great vibe, awesome music from a live DJ, and they even sang happy birthday to me. The chicken wings were delicious, and the Jam Rock jerk chicken with jasmine rice and mango salsa was incredible. Easy 5 stars — can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went here a week ago and I can say that the atmosphere was amazing. The food delicious. Th music well rounded. The dj was great, she made sure everyone felt welcomed. The owner appeared a few times and her energy was very welcoming. She had as an amazing staff. Sophia and vryam were amazing servers through the whole night. I would definitely recommend going here for brunch. If you live in jersey or even visiting. This place feels like classy but fun family gathering. Will definitely be visiting again.
