Great food, workers, atmosphere, and service.
We got their Mojarra (Tilapia) plate and extra rice. Along with the chips and salsa they serve, the plate and extra rice were enough for two people.

Went on a Tuesday night; the place was empty, but the service and the food was great!
Huge portions, all very fresh. Ice cold draft beer, and friendly people.
The prices have gone up a bit, but that’s expected. Last time we went is was underwhelming, but this Tuesday night they really upped their game. All four of us were very satisfied and had plenty of take home boxes.

great vibes and quick service. everyone was super nice and the food was incredible. i got a surf and turf burrito and they were not shy with the meat. the chips, salsa, and guacamole were so fresh. also ordered the churros with ice cream and horchata, so so so good!

This place is always good , no matter what you get. It’s a favorite go to of a friend of mines.
Their staff is friendly their food is authentic, and their chiles quiles and Mexican egg benedicts are phenomenal.
Their margaritas are the right proportions and their mimosas are generous.
10/10 totally great. Will absolutley be going again,( probably sometime this week honestly)

This is my absolute favorite Mexican food spot in and around Poway. I’m a vegetarian and love the options they have. The enchiladas are SO good and I often get the poway burrito because the black beans in there are superior. The staff are so friendly and work so hard! They’re usually busy but there’s never a wait because they’re that efficient and hospitable. The chips and salsa they give are addicting too haha.

Don’t let the lack of a flashy sign or lack of renovated look scare you away. It’s a casual atmosphere and they clearly spend their money on the food. This place was worth every penny and then some.
We went with 3ppl at 5p on a Sat for dinner. We were seated immediately and brought chips and salsa, not spicy salsa, but good flavor, and the chips were crisp but not greasy or overly so. We were also served ice water immediately.
It took a little longer than expected for them to take our order, but maybe we also just decided quickly? Once we ordered though the food was brought out quickly, nice and hot, presentation beautiful, plates bountiful, and food delicious.
I had albondigas (soup) as my side, which they brought first. Oh my this was yummy. Full of flavor! When I was about half way through they brought the main dishes.
The teenage boys ordered the carnitas plate (2 servings) with rice and beans for one of them and rice for the other. You can see in the pictures, this was a huge plate! The boys ate a ton of this and loved it. Even after a day of exercise, these two boys both had leftovers to take home!
I got the 2 enchiladas, one chicken and one beef. It’s just meat in the tortilla and then cheese on top and drowning in enchilada sauce. (FYI if you have an allergy, the beef was cooked with some kind of peppers. It wasn’t spicy but had that flavor to it. The chicken seemed pepper free.) Both were quite yummy, but I think next time I’ll ask for lettuce and sour cream just to add more flavor profile and something a bit fresh to go with it. I ended up stealing some of the boys’ lettuce and guac. Which btw the guac was delicious too, very fresh and flavorful.
The food was outstanding, especially for the price, and I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes that caught my eye, like the shrimp tacos, surf and turf burrito, pozole or ultimate tostada.

This place is amazing! As a Mexican, I was trying to find a good authentic place to eat Mexican cuisine. This hit just the spot. The service was amazing, waiters and servers were always attentive to make sure you were being well fed and treated. Chips and salsa are free and refillable! Plus, the food was amazing. The portions were greatly sized, flavor did not miss, and the prices were very good too! I will 100% come here again. ❤️

Loved really awesome food, atmosphere, service, family owned restaurant. After a 12 mile hike in Ramona on an average sized breakfast I was HUNGRY. I felt like avoiding corporate franchise’s and your average taco shops and pulled here; I was stoked. I had the combination fajitas plate, corn tortillas which had beef, chicken and shrimp, it was delicious. I ate the whole thing and didn’t finish my dinner that night. I highly recommend this place. The plate I described is easily enough for 2 people, maybe with some extra beans, rice and tortillas.

Such a wonderful restaurant off the main street in Poway – great food, wonderful staff (usually really busy and sometimes can be a bit before you get service) but always friendly and great dishes and margaritas. Always bring the whole family and no complaints – that’s the best
