The service is absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. They should stick to take out only. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where the lights were broken and I was served dinner on plastic plates. How are they not embarrassed to serve food like this, I feel embarrassed serving food to guests on plastic plates in my home. Close the dining room and advertise as take out only if you are going to serve the public like this, and have some pride in your business as a restaurant owner. For $90 for 2 I expect to be served food on a regular plate.

I’m vegetarian, and good veg. sushi is super hard to come by. Waitress was super nice and allowed us to replace the meat in the Sunny Roll and Eagles Roll with sweet potato tempura and both of them were DELICIOUS! Super satisfying.
Service was top notch, patient, friendly and place was clean. Place is a gem, will be back.

This is the second not great experience I’ve had here. The first time, I got the pork katsu. The pork was very dry and didn’t have much flavor. I decided to give them a second chance and see if maybe it would be different this time. I called 3 times with no answer, despite them supposedly being open. I went there in person, I figured maybe they were on a lunch break or something. The door was locked when I got there, so I called, and they answered. Why lock the door if you’re open? I waited 25 minutes for my food (I got the lunch teriyaki shrimp). It was supposed to come with soup and salad, and I didn’t get either of those. The container for my food was so small. There were 5 shrimp (with the tail still on) and a couple pieces of broccoli, the container was literally the side of my hand. The sauce also leaked all over the place. There was a puddle of it in my bag, and I hadn’t tipped the bag over at all. I had to get sodas because of the $15 card minimum, and they literally had 4 drink options, 2 of them being cans of coke. The sodas were also warm. Overall not a good experience, and I won’t be coming back.

Love this place! They have a wide selection of sushi and the prices are affordable, especially for this neighborhood.Honestly I almost never eat sushi cause I’m a little skeptical about eating raw fish, but I have to say the food and service here were excellent. The sushi was really good and reasonably priced. Overall it was a great experience!

We ordered three sushi rolls and a crab salad. Cost was $42,00. Fish in the rolls was quite fresh, but the rolls were too mushy because of overripe avocado and soggy rice. The sauces on the rolls were rather ordinary, not particularly tasty and did not improve the taste of the fish.
There was no service at all. The restaurant is closed and nailed up tight with heavy plastic. You pass your payment and receive your order through this heavy plastic curtain. These covid precautions seem over the top at this stage of the pandemic. Most other Asian restaurants no longer take these kinds of precautions, which really seem obsessive. Perhaps the operators are afraid or unwilling to run a restaurant business anymore. Covid has truly changed everything
There is no atmosphere to speak of, as discussed above.

I don’t eat sushi but there hibachi is good and on point and you get a lot of food I’ve ordered from lido atleast 4 times since I lived in cranbury .I have always gotten takeout and it was delicious I and my family love this for dinner

We are usually AYCE sushi people. However, when we want quality sushi at a reasonable price- Lido is the absolute best. Our favorite is the spicy mango shrimp roll. Their lunch special is a really great deal, try to take advantage of that if possible. We look forward to eating in person someday.

Update: Tried 3 years later and no improvement in the food. Ordered an $8 appetizer that was salty & probably worth $4. Special roll was extremely salty. Unless otherwise noted, crab is Kani – immitation. Service was mediocre; the lady seemed to be in an unpleasant mood. I’ve avoided this place because of my previous experience and the recent experience didn’t change my mind. I’m not interested in patronizing this business again.
