In my humble assessment this is the best place in town. The atmosphere represents the region in a fantastically authentic way. The red and green sauces are deliciously home made and not to be missed. The egg enchiladas are wonderful. The service is also incredibly hospitable and generous.

We were on a motorcycle ride, the restaurant or the destination that we had in mind was closed. So we went to our backup restaurant which was also closed. We were fortunate enough to drive by Linda’s They were open but there was a line out front. We thought was nine people in our group we’d never get in and it would take forever to get our food. So with all that said, they got us in quickly, they let us know that they’re grateful for the business, the service was beyond awesome (Good Coffee to boot). The salsa was delicious, the chips are fresh, everybody was silent while eating which is always a good indication. I don’t think anybody left any food on her plates. I had the menudo, it was freaking delicious! Highly recommend this place – more so it’s our destination restaurant for Florence now!

My husband and I stopped in today to try a new spot and support a small business. We were greeted and told to sit on the right side. We picked our own seats and were brought dirty menus. The soda and Frys water were over priced. The chips were stale. We ordered a meal to share and I ordered one tamale. The photo posted was my “tamale”. After the cool robot delivered our food. We weren’t checked on for at least 20 minutes. I eventually asked the waitress what the food item was, to which she replied “a tamale” I advised her I didn’t want it. She took it without any questions or concern. When she brought me the bill 3 minutes later, she left the tamale on the check. My husband had to ask her to remove it. Everytime we said thank you to her for anything she didn’t even acknowledge us. The enchiladas were also a miss. Tasted like American cheese was used and there was a bone in the chicken enchilada. My husband asked for a To go box (not sure why lol) but we were given one with food in the corner. I try so hard to leave good reviews but I couldn’t find one reason to go back.

Enjoyed my visit to Lidia’s yesterday! I ordered the taco salad. Very fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the mini chimichangas. We tasted each other’s plates and enjoyed both. The owners were very sweet and hospitable. We also enjoyed the cookies they had on sale. I’ll visit again!

We met friends and ate here on Sunday and everyone was so disappointed. The food was extremely overpriced and not great for what you get.
We were surprised since you can get Mexican food anywhere in the city that is better and less expensive. The-service was slow and the restaurant was run down for the prices they were charging. Will not go here again.

Our family Has lived in the Phoenix Valley since 1959. Lidia’s Cocina In my opinion is one of the most authentic and enjoyable dining experiences that I have enjoyed over the years. Manuel is a MasterChef, who Not only advised me as to what I would enjoy, but made an absolute certain that it was exactly what I wanted. I will indeed be Enjoying their company and their food for many years to come.

UPDATE FEB 15 2023. Not a good visit and won’t be going back. Used to love this restaurant. It’s changed. First, beware – if you use a credit card to pay you’ll be up charged 4% without being told. You’ll be asked by your server when paying if it’ll be cash or charge, but you’re not told why the question. The menu has a breakfast-all-day section, a dinner section, but no lunch section. We went for lunch. Had to order from the a-la-carte section. Prices don’t seem to have changed much since our last visit but good portions are smaller and the complementary chips and salsa were a disappointment. The salsa was served in a small mini cup that barely fit a chip and the chips were served room temp and had no flavor. There was dried salsa on the lip of the serving cup. I’m guessing it was filled earlier and placed into a cooler to be pulled when needed but it had a dirty appearance and should have been caught by the staff. The outside temp today was 50 with a brisk wind and the window at our table didn’t close completely and I had cold air blowing on me making the place colder than it already was. My wife let me taste her beef chimichanga. Bland and dry. $12.50. As I said, my portion was small – Beef Enchilada with rice and beans. $12. My menu had dried salsa on it – take a look at the pic I posted. All things considered, our experience today was at best mediocre. All said, business was brisk so maybe I’m just being too particular.
My wife and I LOVE this restaurant! Our primary residence is in Colorado, but we have a second home in AZ half hour away and like to eat here when we’re out for the day. The place is always packed, even today, July 25, with temperatures well over 100 degrees at 9:30 in the morning. Today’s service was exceptional. My wife is an early riser. Me, not so much. When we arrived she was famished. I ordered the pork chop and eggs, she had a burrito. The manager (owner?) came over to talk about the order and said I should expect to wait an extra 10 minutes for my order because they do not serve under-cooked pork products. I was fine with that but asked that they not hold up my wife’s order. No problem! She was served as soon as her order was ready. The manager-owner checked on us frequently. He was delightful and elevated our experience. And – without having to ask, our ice waters were served with a wedge of fresh lemon. Portions are large, prices are good. My pork chop was served with sliced apples – a perfect complement to pork. Our food was well-seasoned. My eggs were ordered “over-easy” and were perfectly cooked. But the eggs yolks sent me over the top – rich, deep yellow in color – a throw-back to my days as a kid when food was “fresher” and tastier. We’ll be back!

We went to have lunch. We had been here before about six years when we moved to Arizona. Our first visit was fantastic. This time the food was terrible. Starting with tortilla chips. Very few with a small cup of salsa that you had to break the tortilla chips in half to get any salsa on them. Then the guacamole. It appears like it had been in the refrigerator for a while. The avocado had turned brown. You could not notice this. After the first few bites since the bowl was covered with pico de gallo in the top 1/3 of the bowl. The avocado had no taste and the off color made it less than desirable to eat. No extra chip for the guacamole. The carne asada tacos were terrible. Not sure what it was, but the meat or the pico de gallo appeared to be spoiled. The beans and rice was ok. My wife had the chile relleno and a cheese enchilada. Both did not appear to be freshly made. $59 plus tip made it $70 for lunch. Not worth it. It will be a long time before we go back. We may try Jalapeños restaurant down the street. The neatest thing though at Lydia’s Cocina was the robot that brings your food to your table. Interesting, but they should work on the quality of their food.
