This place leaves more to be desired and is a disappointment. After a great experience service and food wise on Wednesday 2/18, I returned a week later and was let down on all fronts. I understand restaurants can have a bad day but missing on food and service on the same visit is unacceptable.

1) Food – I ordered 2 Bayside cobb salads for takeout and it didn’t match up to the one I had the week prior. There was a minimal amount of leafy greens to the point that I had to add in my own to make up for what the Libbey didn’t do. The salads from one week to the next were unrecognizable. The one the week prior was robust and made two full healthy servings but this barely made a quality serving. It is maddening to spend $42.40 on 2 salads to get 2 lackluster salads where combining them barely made it come close to the equivalent to the one the week prior. Whoever was in the kitchen midday 2/18 stellar and whoever was working on Tuesday evening 2/24 do better.

Phones – Note how the leafy greens hardly cover the bottom, there was an abundance the week prior along with the other ingredients. Setting a clear expectation for the future. Personal plastic containers were used to illustrate and make the lack of ingredients more visible. Unfortunately I didn’t capture the salad from the week prior if I had it I would have included it

2) The person answering the phone when you call a restaurant make the first impression on potential customers. I called ahead to confirm that an item I loved on the lunch menu would be included on the dinner menu. I was told the dish was on the menu and that there wouldn’t be any issues. Only to learn that it wasn’t offered. Whoever answers the phone should be comfortable speaking to the menu or know how to find someone that does. Incompetence on this level doesn’t create repeat customers. I had been praising and was ready to continue praising this restaurant based on the first experience but after this gigantic fumble I have a hard time thinking about giving them another chance. Please don’t do this to people again. I personally drove an hour out of my way to get this dish and was told to place an order 15 to 20 minutes ahead of arrival so I was already in route because I trusted an employees ability to read a menu and answer accurately before I learned that the dish I has been craving and looking forward to wasn’t available. If this is meant become a teachable moment for the restaurant staff that serves the restaurant and not the client so it calls into question that nothing was done to rectify this outside of an I am sorry. I am sorry too for spending $42.40 on salads that were mehh at best. Yet sorry from with both parties won’t get me my money back of a quality salad and address the empty stomach I had that night. If I didn’t know that the Libbey was capable of wonderful service and food this wouldn’t be such a letdown. Instead I got an epic fail and waste of time and money.

The view was amazing! It was a little breezy outside, and considering how beautiful the view is, I only wish they had a few heat lamps on the deck.

The food was decent — more bar-style in my opinion. Nothing on the entrée menu really stood out, but it was tasteful for what it was.

The 4 stars are definitely for the view! If you’re looking for a quick bite with a great atmosphere, it’s worth checking out!

Excellent meal! Loved the Maryland crab cakes! In fact they’re more like crab instead of crab cake because there’s hardly anything other than crab in them. The scallops were fresh and delicious, the appetizers were amazing to share and the keylime pie for dessert was PERFECTS. My colleagues also seem to cannot have enough of the margaritas. The staff are also sweet and helpful, alongside the beautiful Chesapeake bay view

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and our service was impeccable. Our server Brooke made our experience unforgettable. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Gnocchi and I ordered the Eggs Benedict, both were wre served perfectly. My boyfriend went as far to say this was one of the best chicken dishes he’s ever had at a restaurant. We will definitely be coming back and bring our friends! If you haven’t tried this… THIS IS A MUST!!!

Also there is a fantastic view!

Not for people that really know and appreciate Maryland’s wonderful seafood. The views are spectacular. The server was adequate. The food was beautifully presented and mostly good …but the crab cake was disappointing. The dessert was great.

The brussels sprouts appetizer had a memorable savoriness. The fried green tomato appetizer could have served a bit hotter. The catfish in the po boy sandwich was a decent portion size, but it seemed over-fried or perhaps fried in old, burnt, oxidized fryer oil. The caesar salad had ROCK HARD croutons! I’m talking factory-made cheap low quality Sysco hospital-kitchen-quality croutons, not the kind of fresh kitchen-made croutons I would expect from a restaurant at this price point, especially at a restaurant in a coastal region that no doubt sees many people ordering salads to pair with their crab cakes and seafood.

The atmosphere is pleasant, and has good natural light and water views from some tables. There is a seasonal patio also.

The service was warm and pleasant and attentive.

You should get the fried green tomatoes with crab it’s AMAZING. Great view. The chowder is great, good amount of crab. I wasn’t very excited about the fish and chips, I like crispier fries and the fish was a little over cooked. But the green tomatoes were so amazing it didn’t matter.

The food arrived quick and everything was delicious. Fried green tomatoes have a nice cream sauce to accompany it. Very flavorful. I was doubtful of the seafood nachos because I didn’t think the chips would hold up from a rich cheese sauce, but it did! Crunchy chips with a seafood packed sauce. Shrimp, crab in every bite. The honey old bay wings could benefit from a touch of salt. The liege waffle ice cream sandwich should not be missed. Would def go again

What a lovely place! The weather was ridiculously hot but inside the restaurant was blessedly cool and relaxing. Beautiful view of the Bay and Bridge. Comfortable well spaced seating. Outdoor options would be fun in better weather. Our waitress was friendly and food arrived quickly. Very good food. We actually left St. Michael’s to dine here and I am glad we did. My picky husband liked it!! Highly recommend and I would return. My original plan was to shop in Annapolis then eat at Libbey’s. We ended up driving around St. Michael’s due to the heat. Again, I am glad we drove back up to Libbey’s.
